I passed a dark red pre production one near Ashbourne yesterday, but couldn't grab a photo as I was driving. It looked pretty damn good IMO, even with the small square number plates it had on.

I would be worried about the front splitter on that raised kerb. Perhaps the driver, is not the owner.

Love the pair of lions though. Would that be the very essence of Britishness, or perhaps shouty, look at me ?

Every time I look at the front end I have an MX5 double take and it really hasn’t grown on me. It’s funny how different people see different things in different shapes. I think the MX5 obsession stems from the fact I’ve hated every version since the very first model with the pop up lights. That was such a great design and whenever I see the new version of the MX5 model I think to myself why did Mazda ruin that car with the new stupid squinty lights?

Now when I see the new Vantage my first thought is why did Mazda ruin that car....wait a minute....Mazda make Astons?

Still I bet it goes like stink and certain specs look much better than others.

Its growing on my, still looks a little bit too Japanese in styling. Not in a rush to upgrade, a V12V Roadster appeals much more to me as my next car. Perhaps the Roadster version will change my mind, especially if Aston (or aftermarket) have come up with a slatted grill option by then......
