Two Vantages with a 2018 GTE-Pro racing car.
The WEC GTE-Am class requires cars to be one year old. Therefore there will also be another Vantage racing this season.
It will be interesting to see how the 2018 lap time differences, between Pro and Am Vantages, compare with 2017.
This year the WEC season will be longer than normal, as it adjusts from calendar year, to ending with the Le Mans 24 hour race.
Therefore the 2018 and 2019 Le Mans races will both be in the coming WEC season.

Hopefully not too quick too soon or it'll be BOPed!Reliability and quick brake changes (and better tyre wear) for the wins

Hi all
Just been having a look to see if any new pictures of the new Vantage as I believe the press are currently reviewing. Spotted a tweet from Mat Watson with a black car and also I see that the latest issue of Evo has a nice looking Vantage on the cover. So are there any reviews yet and any pictures of car in different colours/specs?

An Evo magazine reprint was emailed to me by a main dealer.
Presume many if you also received that circular.
Is the 11th April date (mentioned above), also the Press launch day in (is it) Portugal, when all those Lime Essence cars will be driven?
Do you expect Lime Essence to become a popular colour, with the new younger buyers?
For 'younger buyers' I pictured under 30, and so wondered how many there might be, with a spare £150,000.
However, I recently read that AP means married people in their 40s, whereas the current average age of AM buyers is older than that (cannot remember the figure stated).
I had an amazing day at Gaydon and a fantastic tour with Nick Duckworth, must say a huge thank you to Craig at HR OWEN.
On having the opportunity to look and sit in the new Vantage I was very surprised, I loved it, beautiful in every way.
One comment, in my opinion, is you should option in quad pipes, makes the rear just perfect.

Unless I'm mistaken, the headlights on the racer are slightly larger and a different shape to the road car.
I think you are correct.
Need good lights for 200 mph at Le Mans.
The large plain expanse of bonnet and wings on the road car, is less noticeable on the GTE because of the vents and advertising.

I’m not sure if those lights are any bigger - I’ve been trying to decide and THINK it may be that they look bigger with the twin lamps illuminated.

I've cropped these (from this thread) to try and get a comparison... hope they work...
Difficult to be certain.
However, the GTE light unit is highly unlikely to a Vantage unit. The front 'glass' will just be a piece of perspex, which comes away from the car when the entire front bodywork is removed. Perhaps the lights themselves, might be mounted separately from the removable bodywork. Of course, every repair during a race needs to be done very fast, so detailed design is changed to make that possible. These days with road cars, a few hours in the workshop to change a light bulb, seems to be considered excellent design, and supposedly good business.
