. . . but I still think an optional Classic Pack with new front alloy grille design would keep all sides happy just seems win-win to me.....but designers understandably don’t like to compromise their creations.
Oh no, that will not be possible.
We have to remember, that Andy Palmer's mother must not be confused, by similarities between the models.
Wonder if Mrs Palmer senior, has tried power drifting the new Vantage yet?
I note that the road testers have reported, it is very easily controlled on the new model.
I didn't think the lead times were that long, I remember talking to a dealer in January and they were quoting early Q3 unless you went overboard with the Carbon, then it would be a little longer, so in theory the 1st come 1st served rule might not play out if customer one's car is loaded with Carbon.
Think it's a risky gamble trying to get 'overs' on a standard production Aston, it didn't really work with DB11's so I doubt it'll work with Vantage's, as has been said anyone can walk in to the AD and drop a deposit, it's not like they are going to turn anyone away because they haven't bought 10 cars in the last 5 years from them, we're not talking about RS Porsches.
I'd rather wait 6 months and get 'my' spec than pay over list for someone else's but then there is always someone who want's to be the first on the block with the new toy

My thoughts are it is the red car that was doing the rounds at the dealers. It was at Manchester Aston last week (I read on this thread) so not exactly a long haul up to Preston for the afternoon for some photos. The interior is the same, the rear view mirror has been shopped out, and if you look at the top right corner you can still see red paintwork on the front of the A pillar.
I am no Photoshop expert but I would have thought in 2018 its pretty easy to turn a red car black and change some calipers from yellow to red and shop on some number plates. But the interior would be a lot more challenging. Couple that to the small details I picked up on and that is my theory. Perhaps a resident PS expert could help.
Regardless of that fact it looks excellent in stealth black spec!

I saw this advert last night and it did make me chuckle. Not sure how they got their images but if it is photoshopped then it looks very realistic, including as Adam say the airbag fault
The main problem for me is that I would have thought that before any customer deliveries happen the next cars to be produced will be the dealer demonstrators and I do not think they will be happening before late May through to early July - and that is if they started building them on schedule which I would doubt.

You’re spot on. The black is clearly photoshopped from another colour and given how few dealer cars there are it’s obvious it’s the red car. That’s down to the interior and the red highlights you can see in places.
Plus there are zero customer cars and the press cars are all doing press duties.
It’s the red car, of this I’m 99% sure. I’m more sure that someone is going to get a monumental bking for letting that happen. Now whether it’s the dealership, the logistics company or someone else that has worked out this little backroom deal with Amari I don’t know, but I’m certain they won’t be getting near a car like that again. Palmer is not happy.

The dealer demo cars should be arriving quite soon. Typically one static and one dynamic car initially; these would be specced differently to show some variations (tread plates or no tread plates, that sort of thing), but I'm told are quite sympathetically specced and minus any Q items as the first cars out of the gate are kept as 'regular' as possible while the guys & girls building the cars are learning the build process themselves.
The exterior colours might be tasty though, and more suited to the car than lime essence.

Forgive my ignorance here, but what was the point of Amari pulling this stunt in the first place, I'm confused.
They obviously don't and never had a new Vantage for sale (for reasons outlined by previous posters), so what's the point in advertising one ? So say I was interested.....I phone them and they tell me it's sold......and that they cannot get another one.....at which point I just walk into the MD and order one for less money than no doubt Amari would want if they DID have one.
I can't see how Amari get anything from this at all (other than look a bit stupid).
Am I missing something ?

One thing this photoshopping has achieved is that the looks of the front end can be dramatically improved (at least to my eyes) by lightening and "silvering" the lights. In the Amari pics the entire light modules are bright silver whereas normally the lights look smokey grey and shrink accordingly.

We're all talking about it. Andy Palmer was tweeting about it this morning. Amari gets a load of hits and more people are aware of the dealership.
Guerrilla marketing.
Ah right....good job I don't work in Sales eh...!Guerrilla marketing.
Wouldn't buy anything from them anyway, so doesn't make much odds to me. Never been a fan of high end car supermarkets.........

Also have a green one for AdamV12V, erm yeah I parked it in EXACTLY the same spot as the purple one.
Edit: Have to say the more I look at this, the more I love it
Oi - get off my car! Edit: Have to say the more I look at this, the more I love it

Does look good though doesn't it, but then I am a tad biased.
I specced one up on my factory visit in Kermit Green as it appears to be a std colour now on the configurator too - clearly I have made an impact somewhere...
