I just wish they could get the vantage to look correct and beautiful because I want to like it , and as soon as I do I would have one , these vents at the moment look like what they are afterthoughts , and again with all the new designs I hope it all succeeds and not goes down the lotus/ dany bahar path of trying I introduce too many models

I am more of the opinion that the thinking behind the Vantage II was reflecting back to the styling of the Vulcan. Bear in mind that the shape is very much based on the V8Vantage because my understanding is that the DB10 was more or less ready when Barbara Broccoli saw it at Gaydon and said that it was exactly what she wanted in Spectre. The deal was struck and it was agreed that the car would be unique to James Bond and a frontal re-design took place to launch Vantage II. The Vanquish concept is however, forward looking.
I was going to reference the Bond DB10 .I appreciate that the Vanquish design language is a completely new direction , mid engine etc.
Just saying that the new Vantage heralded a new direction for marque.
I saw the Bond car at AM Hemel where I went as Blofeld , stroking my pussy.
I didn't like the car the Bond car and think that the new Vantage is an improvement on it.

Crikey, when I went to Welwyn for the lunch of the Vantage II I just wore a polo shirt and jeans! I feel I may have been under dressed now I didn't like the car the Bond car and think that the new Vantage is an improvement on it....
Which version do you prefer?
In fact, the facelift will not include a GT3-style huge bonnet breakup, but it will have mesh bonnet vents similar to the old Vantage V8VS.

I was @ Works today, picking up my car. Saw this Vantage - one of a limited 6 car run. What’s special, as you’ll notice, are the new bonnet vents; they really break up what is otherwise huge bonnet and I really liked them. Apparently, it’s a strong possibility that the mid-life facelift Vantage will add DB11 style bonnet stakes.
Apparently this limited run was a customer idea. It’s a custom built bonnet which Works had to make, paint and fit.
Geneva Motor Show unveiled a small Vantage facelift - which completely got lost between the AM-RB 003 and the Vanquish Vision Concept. Apparently this limited run was a customer idea. It’s a custom built bonnet which Works had to make, paint and fit.

That really did slip by, on purpose I guess. In fact, the facelift will not include a GT3-style huge bonnet breakup, but it will have mesh bonnet vents similar to the old Vantage V8VS.
Certainly prefer it with these small vents. Seems a non-typical place for vents but then I guess there`s an engineering/aerodynamic reason for it, and certainly better than the mega-nostrils.

Certainly very enthusiastic reviews, from a couple of new Vantage owners in the USA.
Plain beautiful.

I purchased the car in Oct'18, its everything and more than I expected. The lines of the car are beautiful , the drive is awesome and the interior is lush. The BIG PLUS, you will not see yourself coming or going.
ASTONISHING!

Having owned a Ferrari, a number of Porsches, and a Lotus Esprit Turbo, this is far and away to most astonishing car I have ever owned. It does everything brilliantly and is visually stunning. A total blast.

Those smaller vents look much better. In fact, the facelift will not include a GT3-style huge bonnet breakup, but it will have mesh bonnet vents similar to the old Vantage V8VS.
Is the white car a special edition? I noticed that the orange Vantage there didn't have any bonnet vents BUT it had some strange-looking side gills? I still reckon some holes on the bonnet like on the DB10 would look particularly great.

Just had an awesome review on The Grand Tour.
It was a good review for Richard, he's always been a Porsche man. And knows this one is a match. If felt his comments about a better fit and finish on the interior of the new generation, that the last generation had parts falling off disingenuous. The fit and finish on my lowly V8 Vantage is wonderful and nothing to date has fell off. There's no need to pan the last generation in order to elevate the new. When the only part carried over are the door handles. The new model can and should stand on its own.The only tongue in cheek criticism came from Clarkson, glad they tested it around their track during the daylight. Since the headlights on are car are horrendous.
I watched the latest GT8 video posted on here today. It doesn't have the power, the handling, the technology of the new generation. But man it's sure has one thing no amount of money can buy. It sure has class.

These smaller side bonnet vents are now an option on the configurator along with the option to have union jack on the wings and smoked tail lights - I certainly dont recall seeing these items when i looked a few months ago - apologies if I am mistaken !Dobie177 said:
