Sounds like you need a Rapide. Great looks and rear doors to put the baby in - two door cars wreck your back swinging in a car seat with baby - I know from experience!
And you still get to join the Aston family
Agree on the Rapide. I have had vantage and DB9.2 before and the Rapide is my Fav so far. Great to be out with the family. And you still get to join the Aston family

Alternatively carry on with the purchase and hope there’s a long enough waiting list to maintain prices for six months to a year or so.
When the first vantage model was released the cars were selling close to list for 12 - 18 months.
Clearly not able to predict the future but hoping this is a model in demand!

The release of the first Vantage did involve some very special circumstances.
Perhaps the DB11 might give us a better idea (in percentage terms) of possible price trends for new models during the first twelve months.
First DB11 customer deliveries were in October 2016.
AML indicated that including options, the average purchase price was around £225,000.
There are now 5 DB11 cars advertised on the main dealer list, for less than £150,000.
I cannot find the quote Rob, so you may well be correct.
Thought it was one of Andy Palmer's interviews, but now I wonder if perhaps that comment might have been to do with the Vanquish S.
Is the DB11 list price about £180,000, but then we know that new Aston Martin customers just love ticking the options list.
However, my point was that the DB11 was a new model one year ago, very popular, but even so, we have not seen an above list secondary market. Dealer used stock seems now to be priced at tens of thousands below the new prices.

Agree with all that. But I think the list price was £154-5k? So to get to £225k would be possible but going someThought it was one of Andy Palmer's interviews, but now I wonder if perhaps that comment might have been to do with the Vanquish S.

I'm guessing the rave reviews for the (cheaper) DB11 V8 won't help here either, albeit I suppose most of the production of that is ear-marked for China

Mosel's climbing monkeys in the morning:
Sub 7 lap in the afternoon
Just joyous to cross the continent en-famile
Big plus for the 2 seater Vantage is you can't drive both teenage children at the same time
Should go and sit in a Rapide and test access with baby sit and access to baby from either front passenger or other rear seat as rear seats slightly isolated. Bit of lifting and reaching small price to pay for DB9 or DBS?

Hi all,
I saw the new Vantage and DB11 Volante at a private viewing in Frankfurt this week. As I had to sign a confidentiality clause, no pictures and not sure how much I can say about the new ones on here :-)
But they did say that DB11 Volante launch is in two weeks (working on configurator now) and Vantage should be in November.
Personally, I find the DB11 Volante having a more clean shape than the coupe. Hood will have approximately 9 colours to choose from. Pricewise, DB11 Volante V8 will be below DB11 V12 coupe.
New Vantage is not really my taste (have a DB9 now) but surely will appeal to many and certainly not a 'small' DB11.
Cheers,
Frank

I was talking with someone who had seen the new Vantage in its pure undisguised form recently and, whilst they were very discreet, they did say the following:
The new Vantage does not look like an evolution of the current model.
It does not look like it flowed from the same pen that designed the DB11.
It does have a huge rear diffuser.
It will divide opinion.
And perhaps most intriguingly; think Vulcan not Vantage!
With private viewings starting in the middle of this month to customers with deposits paid taking place in the dealerships it is hard to see how this car can be kept under wraps much longer.

without saying too much, my opinion on the front of the new Vantage is, think Rapide S :-)
And therefore not my taste... .
Cannot say anything about the interior as it was covered up.
p.s. although I have a DB9 MY2009, I am also not a fan of the mk2 DB9 since 2013 (with added spoilers, bigger lights, ducktail,...). So maybe I am not the 'average' consumer they are looking at.
Cheers,
Frank
