Had a little drive this morning, quick car, much more planted than my V12S. Very linear delivery, very sterile and uneventful compared to the V12, the stupid contrived clicks and pops don't help either!
I could probably ignore the front end "issues" in the right colour scheme (Grange Welwyn have a lovely metallic blue one in the show room) would consider if I was in the market for a fast, semi-practical day to day but ultimately probably not what I'd buy as a fun second/weekend car.
Hey ho!
I think your comment about a daily use performance car is right, and probably good for sales . A 911 and AMG are more every day than weekend I could probably ignore the front end "issues" in the right colour scheme (Grange Welwyn have a lovely metallic blue one in the show room) would consider if I was in the market for a fast, semi-practical day to day but ultimately probably not what I'd buy as a fun second/weekend car.

That flugplatz one looks awesome and I like the blue contrast stitching inside.
What I’m now not liking is the small single tailpipe - it really needs the double option.
I think the blue, and angle of the photo shows more detail in the bonnet, it usually looks so flat and featureless. What I’m now not liking is the small single tailpipe - it really needs the double option.
Calling out for some bonnet vents, but there is that AMG cooling duct thingy for the turbos in the way.
Would definately consider it in flugplatz

Not that there's much interest, but I saw earlier that a 5 year servicing plan and a 5 year warranty was being offered on UK orders between 1st and 31st of December.
Aston’s response to some of the quality concerns floating around?Easy give away I would think, most niggles sorted in the first 6 months, then most other issues sorted in the 3 years standard. Not many keeping for 5 years I suspect , and would be back in the dealer network by then too

I don't believe that's the case; the 2nd century cars are really quite well put together. Of course we only ever hear the horror stories, but for the most part, quality control has become one of Aston's strengths rather than a weakness.
If offering a good warranty and servicing package is symptomatic of guarding against poor quality control, should more be made of Ferrari's 7 year servicing plan and power warranty?
I'd agree that as an ownership prospect, the landscape has somewhat changed - those new to the marque might run a Vantage for 18 months or so and move on elsewhere. Existing Aston owners tend to keep hold of their cars a little longer, and there's very little appetite among the PH members who own a VH Vantage, to migrate over to a new one.
That's my point really, Aston can give the extra years because the cars are well built with low warranty exposure, but gives those new to the brand who worry about the "reported" high costs of repair peace of mind. If offering a good warranty and servicing package is symptomatic of guarding against poor quality control, should more be made of Ferrari's 7 year servicing plan and power warranty?

Should help 3 year re-sale values too

Not a great review on TG by Matt Le Blanc, the AMG GT does look good value in comparison
Also I hear a Vantage 'GT' manual will be announced shortly but a limited run only and ££££'s
Good to know they are making progress with the manual, hope it gets put into something we can all buy soon rather just the few. Also I hear a Vantage 'GT' manual will be announced shortly but a limited run only and ££££'s
