Apparently Marek's family car growing up was a Morris Traveller, and his first car was a Mk1 Toyota Mr2, which explains the new Vantage's wood panelling in the rear 3/4 and the pop-up headlights. Sounds like it shouldn't work, but it does.

The choice of CVT transmission, however, was more of a surprise, as was the 'halo' launch scheme, which features Pontiac-esque flame decals and limited edition steel wheels. AMR 'composite'' (plastic) wheel trims will be available, as I understand it.

That narrows it down to three days.

Did your man mention, whether pulling the cloth back would be on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday ?
I would not expect Sunday, because AP will be busy.

I though it was late November not early december

The respective dealership launch parties aren't necessarily the same day as the official launch - so it's no surprise there's differing dates floating around. Still, not long to go.
