Indeed, graze. I figured if I'm not going to be able to keep the manual V12 (and who knows how long I can physically drive the manual) might was well go all way to something entirely new. Just placed the initial deposit for the deposit on the credit card..rest has to be wired.

I have my dealer reveal set for 28th November, wondering if I can avoid seeing the car online before then to get the full impact...

Not sure my self control will be strong enough, but its only 7 days - would have to turn off PH all week though

Frankie , oh yes although to be fair to Simon I didn't even get to sit down when " invited " to buy the GT8. I do plead guilty to buying a 911 a few years ago after genuinely just going for a coffee with the DP who is a friend. Mind u I got back all his commission which might have swayed me as he only needed one more sale to get a much larger dealer bonus.

"Over 500bhp....685nm of torque...."

Wow, that is quite a torque figure

Anyone have the numbers of the current v8 and v12 to hand?

Well anyone who doesn't get excited by that video needs their pulse checking.

I've got high hopes for this Vantage after seeing how playful it is.

675 fo the DB11 V8.

IIRC someone on here said it was a big difference between DB11 and new vantage, but on the face of it, there's actually very little in it. V12 DB11 has 700nm for comparison

the n/a V8 and V12 in current/old vantage have a little under 500 and a little over 600 respectively (think it's 630 for the AMR V12 but might be mis remembering)

0-60 in 1.9 secs
0-100 in 4.2 secs
1/4 in 8.9 secs
> 250 mph
7500 ft-lbs

Simply incredible !

But the thing that is truly shocking is the range - 600 miles @ highway speed. Gonna' have to put a deposit on one of these myself.

V12 AMR:
Maximum power 444 kW (595 bhp / 603 PS) at 7000 rpm
Maximum torque 630 Nm (465 lb ft) at 5500 rpm

630 Nm with no forced induction is still pretty mighty biggrin

Not had chance to watch the vid yet but Autocar says that weight is revealed to be 1530 kg which is a fair bit lighter than db11, but wheelbase 10cm shorter which surprised me as I thought there might be more difference - of course overall length of car might be more different to db11 if the wheels are closer to the corners on vantage than db11

Yep, nobody has ever complained there is insufficient power or torque in V12V !!!

I've missed something here, maybe I haven't gone back enough pages but these are the figures for the new four door Tesla sports car which I saw this morning on the net. Very impressed and indeed the future.

The static side profile in that video looks very well proportioned a la the existing Vantage so it should look lovely from that angle.

Cheltenham then. Might meet you there.

Next Tuesday onwards, you will have to copy the Likely Lads. They were trying to avoid knowing a football result. Cannot remember what the twist at the end was.

You can drift the present Vantage like that .....
.... but usually only when it belongs to someone else.
