I love the fact that they have had the balls to go quite wild on the styling. If it were too safe everyone would be going...booooooring. I think it is going to be one of those cars that is very colour dependant, (just like the DB11). Really looking forward to seeing it in the flesh in a week or so at my dealers launch event. The sound was awesome on that that Aussie guys video on YouTube, I noticed none of this bloody fake overrun popping and banging you get on many competitors. It seems like yesterday when I was all excited over the launch of the current Vantage.
I LOVE how passionate this conversation/discussion is, this is exactly the reaction this car needs to have. It should be a big departure from the previous vantage and the current DB11.
Clutching at straws but a few things that irk me:
No B and O upgrade option/branded sound upgrade option (will their be a first edition/premium edition to order)
No Ceramic option.
Not a twin clutch gearbox.
No Sports exhaust option.
Looks better with a dark grill and a plate to those that think the grill is too open...
Manual isn't available at launch either - why is this?

The lack of B&O was explained to me being that the entry level system and premium systems are one rung up the ladder from before i.e. the new entry level being similar to the premium audio before, and the new premium being a B&O equivalent. It would need a side by side test to see how they compare, it wouldn't just be a change of RMS output.

I literally posted that picture, that I made, two pages ago and it got ignored! Clutching at straws but a few things that irk me:

Diavolo Red for me please
Although being a NA man I'd more likely go for a V12V.... Did I see somewhere though it averages 26mpg?
On the claimed fuel consumption figures, it seemed a bit low - I was expecting a quoted figure around the 28-31mpg mark. In practice it might (and should) achieve that, since the V12 DB11's able of getting 30mpg despite the extra weight and displacement (with a gentle right foot).Although being a NA man I'd more likely go for a V12V.... A moot point really, we don't buy these cars for that, but on a long jaunt, having a greater fuel range is a benefit, and as much as they're seen as the devil's work, turbochargers help on that front.

I think it looks a lot better in any other colour than AM used in their marketing for the release, that Green is horrible. Anyone come across a white version yet?
There was a white one posted earlier in a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKwknWZT3Oc&t=...

Looks stunning to me....shame they didnt retain hydraulic steering though.Copy/paste of what I'd said on the other forum:
Super disappointed in the front end. It looks exactly how I hoped it wouldn't, based on the camoflagued one that we've been seeing in pics, which looked identical to production. The headlights have little character. They're almost lifeless, but that may be because of the front overall. The 'grille' looks like a giant fake mustache that was tacked onto what would be an otherwise pretty nose. The hood lines aren't as graceful as the outgoing Vantage, especially since the hood doesn't extend all the way to the grille. AM took a step back in design - that detail is closer to the DB7 and first-gen Vanquish.
The lime green is a very odd launch color, but it does show off the rear extremely well. It makes the diffuser look great by having body-colored highlights on diffuser. The diffuser in all-black looks too overwhelming, and the way the trim has that upward 'peak' above the tail pipes is a bit much on top of it without having some body-color accents to break it all up. The tail pipes look unfinished (because they are, in a literal sense), and I prefer having the rolled tail pipe finishing tips of the outgoing Vantage.
The styling is very different than anything Aston has done before with a standard production car, but that's the whole point. It's supposed to stand apart completely as a sports car beside the grand touring DB11. I like that they did that, I just wish the front end was better executed.
Definitely love the interior, and they did a great job of integrating the M-B stuff without being too obvious about it. Would have prefered a better-integrated screen, but no manufacturer is getting that right these days, unfortunately. I like the use of traditional controls, too.
I was told point-blank by Aston Martin's CEO and CMO, in person, that the Vantage will get a manual option. I'm looking forward to seeing how they integrate a stick into that console. But at least they have a tried-and-true *good* automatic gearbox in there instead of a hit-or-miss ASM.
I'm going to wait and see how the car grows on me. I was fully intending to get a roadster with manual gearbox down the road but... that front end is just... not good. Styling is subjective, of course, and it's just my opinion.
