Very nice.. Congrats..
Hope you don’t mind me asking, but is this car fresh from the factory? I’m asking because you seem to have the auto dimming rear mirror, and I was told by my dealership that it cannot be spec’d on the roadster.
Yes it is straight from Gaydon; I think it rather depends on who your dealer talks too at the Factory. For sometime alcantara steering wheels were a no-no in the roadster, now OK apparently. Auto dimming mirror the same - it is an easy exchange if you already have one! I have found if you say "this is clearly possible and I want one" it tends to work.Hope you don’t mind me asking, but is this car fresh from the factory? My understanding is that the auto dimming mirror affects the DAB radio reception on Roadster . Be interested to know if this is the case as my AMR was initially specced with Auto Dim and then amended . Lovely car btw - perfect colour combo .NeinFondue said:

Perfect.. Thanks for that. Will ask at the factory on Tuesday alcantara is an issue with wear/fading in the sun - did you have to sign a waiver in the end to get it Graham ? I seem to recall them mentioning one might be necessary

Hi Marcel, would be interested to hear what they say. I asked when speccing mine and was told it couldn’t be put on for the reasons Silverspeed mentioned, it affects the DAB radio. Seldom drive mine at night so not a real issue but it does frustrate me that people get different answers on the same issues!

as the others have said, introduction of DAB would appear to be the reason

I’ll ask on Tuesday and let you guys know. I too spec’d mine with auto dimming to start with, but it was removed and I was only told that it was no longer compatible with the Roadster. TBH, I only spec’d it because the standard mirror looks really cheap and nasty alcantara is an issue with wear/fading in the sun - did you have to sign a waiver in the end to get it Graham ? I'm a Vascular & Interventional Radiologist. None the wiser? Then I'm a person plumber. If it's blocked (artery, vein, liver kidney), then I'll unblock it; if it's leaking then I'll seal it and all through a hole no bigger than 5mm across. You did ask
My wife’s a doctor with a specialty in scoping jonby said:
