Thanks all, it was an epic day, all ran to plan, fortunately the weather behaved! Looking forward to a rest now, after three special projects, back to back, I’m taking 2018 off and just running a dealership for a year! Might dip back in with another project in 2019 though.....
Fabulous project Simon!
Do you know what the raffle total is to date (in £s)?
Think its posted somewhere over £1m raised.

A fabulous project all round - I'm still amazed at the detail . Everyone should be very proud at what's been achieved.

Thanks for all the kind words, really appreciate it. At Close of Business on Monday the total ticket sales stood at £998,000, so amazingly we actually hit the £1m mark on the morning of the handover. Still have 6 weeks to run, hoping the imagery and film (coming online tomorrow so stay tuned!) will give the raffle another big boost.

as mentioned before I sincerely hope its one of us (Pistonheads ) that win the car !!!! or a condition of the winning that the owner has to join Pistonheads and tell us all about it with pics etc smile

We made a cracking short film on the day, featuring all the high speed action & flypasts, it’s now live online, check it out here https://www.facebook.com/AstonMartinCambridge/vide...

New Car collection day is very special (collected my first Aston yesterday); but this is a dealership taking it to a mega level. Lucky new owners - what a day they must have had.

Seeing the video's online for the Vanquish S Red Arrows series of cars and seeing how a very British company is working alongside the very British RAF makes me damn proud to say I'm British smile

Simon, what an effort you've put into all 3 of your limited editions, your dedication to the brand and the RAF charity is incredibly humbling! Well done that man!

I've got my tickets in, here's hoping!

David.

There is a very strong possibility that whoever wins Red 10 will want to cash in by selling it back to us and pay off their mortgage or similar. We will take a deposit on this car subject to it becoming available. The draw takes place on 8th December. Car is unregistered, we will ask the winner to make a decision on keeping/selling promptly after the draw. If anyone is interested in securing the opportunity to own this car please drop me a line simon.lane@jardinemotors.co.uk

What sort of cash would one be looking at by not accepting the car and selling it back?

I love the idea of owning a special Aston Martin, but I think I love the idea of being mortgage free even more...

If I won it, and that's a big IF (as the only thing I can ever recall winning was a Charlie and Chocolate Factory game and book back in the 80's) would be to ask the insurance people first, keep it if possible, but if not, sell it on and donate a percentage of the sale price back to the RAF fund.

fingers crossed...........

What retail price do you put on a very limited & very special Vanquish. I'am guessing it would be sub Zagato prices. I'll have a stab at it £400K

Valued at 250k, that's why they need to sell £2.5m worth of tickets.
