A really nice circle is being drawn around this project by Humphrey, I’m so delighted to see the great work he is doing with the car, supported by the Red Arrows, RAFBF and AMOC.

Last week saw some really great recognition from our parent company. The annual Jardine Motors Leadership Conference & Awards took place on Thursday 15th Feb at the Milton Keynes Stadium, attended by 450 members of our leadership team & manufacturer partners. Special guest speaker was Flt Lt Mike Bowden ‘Red 9’ who gave an incredible inspirational presentation about Teamwork in the Red Arrows. I felt very humbled to be recognised by him and our Directors for my part in the Aston Martin Red Arrows project and am now the proud owner of a beautiful signed crash helmet. As if this was not enough Aston Martin Cambridge then went on to win the General Manager & Dealership of the Year award. 2017 was an absolutely incredible year, thank you for all the support for the Red Arrows project on PH & allowing me to talk about it.

Thanks all. Felt very humble collecting this award in front of so many RAF heroes. Some truly moving stories of the work done by the Fund last night and a standing ovation for the parents of a young serviceman who lost is life in 2016. They have raised £57,000 for the fund in the past year. Don't think there was a dry eye in the house.

I'm delighted to announce that Red 10 will be coming back to Aston Martin Cambridge at the end of September to be offered for sale. The car will be sent to Topaz for a Level 2 detail before being placed in our showroom, complete with all the components it was supplied with (helmets, race suits, luggage etc - full spec at the start of this thread).

Red 10 is number 10 of 10 x Vanquish S Red Arrows we commissioned last year and was donated to the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, Aston Martin Lagonda's official charity, for them to raffle. In total the car raised over £1.5m for the fund and it was handed over to its new owner, Humphrey Bradley, last December.

Humphrey, a former British Army officer, has gone on to do amazing work with the car, using it to help the RAF Benevolent Fund raise its profile and further funds. The car was selected by Aston Martin Racing to head both its Drivers Parade AND as Pace Car for the Aston Martin Festival Race at Le Mans this year.

The car has covered 1,900 miles and will be supplied with the AM10 RED number plate. This is a unique opportunity to purchase a piece of Aston Martin and Red Arrows history, therefore rather than advertise the car for sale, in agreement with Humphrey we have decided to accept Sealed Bids, with the deadline for bid submission set at midnight on Tuesday 23rd October. The highest bid will be informed they have successfully purchased the car on the 24th October, exactly 1 x year after the cars were unveiled/handed over at RAF Scampton.

The reserve for Red 10 has been set at £380,000.

Humphrey has very generously offered to donate 50% of any funds over this figure back to the RAF BF. The offer of the car will be made public outside this forum in the coming weeks, but as the car was won by a PHr we wanted the PH forum to be the first to know. If you would like to submit a bid to buy the car, or have any queries about Red 10, please contact me confidentially at simon.lane@jardinemotors.co.uk

Sounds like an amazing day out to collect the cars! That being said it does look like all that extra activity has been built into the price.. a well specified S will come to £240k to £245k anyway, so another £30k for some helmets and race suits looks a little pricey. Still a unique car and I've bought some tickets! Still holding out for a Vanquish S Ultimate before I trade mine in!

Anyone on here ordered one of these yet? I imagine they're all sold out?
Just reread this and a few similar views at the start of this thread. So, Vanquish S Ultimate or Red Arrows? scratchchin

I thought the number plates were sequential from AM01 to AM10?
There has never been a '01' suffix in the new style plates (2001 51 plate on) so AM01 RED not available. 12 seemed next most logical choice.

How much did Red 10 sell for?
I have been asked not to divulge that by the owner, but I can confirm Red 2 was sold last year for £340,000
