Definitely saw him advertising the fact he or his business had sold it .

Both on Twitter and Instagram iirc.

Economical with the exact truth one would think.
Some SOR agreements have exclusivity clauses that can be expensive to get out of. Beware folks. We've provided a healthy return to the owner and covered this.

excellent fund raised ! Well done.

ps what time can the winner expect a phone ring on Friday?
Hmmm....I'm not sure exactly but I think around lunchtime. I have been told that the winner will be called by Air Vice-Marshal David Murray, Controller at the RAF BF and informed of the good news. Its an amazing Christmas present, but at the same time I would imagine it will come as quite a shock to the winner.

I have a call scheduled at 15.30 with the RAF BF when I will be informed of who the winner is. Lets hope whoever the winner is has their phone on and answers it or we could all be waiting a while!

Yes it will still be here. We are planning to hand it over to the winner on Wednesday 13th assuming they can make that date.

Love the Hercules BTW....I went up in a C130J with 47 Sqn earlier this year, we did a performance take off with the back door open, that was fun! Had a go on the simulators too, I could spend all day in there, amazing tech.

Here is a sneak preview, just for PHrs of the film we are releasing online at 2pm to coincide with the raffle draw time. Its a 10 min 'making of' walking through the project from inception to delivery. It features interviews and clips from the handover day, including Dr Andy Palmer & Air Chief Marshall Sir Stephen Hillier. This film will be uploaded onto AML, RAF, RAF BF and Red Arrows social media channels at 2pm today. Would be very grateful for support in liking/sharing the posts when they go up. Hope you like it! It's nice that the winner is "known" in PH circles - Christmas has just come early then clap

It's not very often, I'm sure, that Simon gets to tell someone they've won an Aston Martin, let alone a very limited edition one....I wonder what Simon is thinking of doing next as this will take some beating. Well done to Simon too as I watched the YouTube clip earlier.
Thanks and I’d just like to add my own ‘Congratulations!!!’ to Humphrey publically. I’m so delighted that after months of talking on this thread, someone here has won the car and what a deserving winner. I’m really looking forward to handing the car over with Red 10 next week.

As for my next project, well after 3 of them back-to-back I’m going to have a little rest. I have tons of other really cool ideas, but all of them require a massive amount of work to deliver.

I’d be really grateful if everyone here can get onto the Aston Martin Lagonda Facebook page and like/share our film which they shared this afternoon as did the RAF. I’m hoping it beats the Spitfire films record of 700,000 views in the first week!! Link here https://www.facebook.com/astonmartin/posts/1015548...

Thanks all and have a great weekend Simon

What a fabulous story to read both for the winner and the great cause.

Great to see the passion from Simon and the AM dealer. I am keen on trying the new Vantage next year and not far from Cambridge so think I will be in touch.
Drop me a line on simon.lane@jardinemotors.co.uk and I’ll send you an invitation to our spectacular launch event at IWM Duxford on 23rd Jan......I know I said I was having a break, but trust me our launch event will be EPIC smile
