Hi Peeps

Great news to all the supporters of this years Big Bad Wedge Fest and 70 years of TVR celebrations.

Below are the winners of the yearly awards and the final figures for the BBWF bank account, There was just over £2,800 raised at the event and after paying the remaining invoices we have a total of £2,128.94 so if we all agree then I would like to donate to spinal muscular atrophy £1500 which has smashed the BBWF 2014 amount by £500.. smile

I would like to retain the balance of £628.94 for future events.

Concours Wedge runner up
Colin Davies = 350i

Concours Wedge winner
Robert Meier = 430SE

Concours Non-Wedge runner up
Ian smith = T350t

Concours Non-Wedge winner
Neil Ramsay = Tuscan.

Car of the show winner
Steve Ducker = 5.4 factory built SEAC race car

Furthest travelled...All the way from Berlin
Henning Burwitz

Rat car competition winner
Martin Styles 350i...Martin just piped it at the post with the gaffa on the windscreen....

And finally...

Wedge personality of the year award winner
Paul King

Well done to all of you and to all of you who came along and supported this wonderful event.

Im sure the equipment that our donation goes towards buying will be a welcome relief to this deserving charity that we support.
Thank you

Mark Webb aka MrZigaZaga..xx

PS: The BBWF account will of course be topped up throughout the year as always...

It has been suggested that £1,000 may still be an advantageous amount to donate and leave a bit more in the fund, This would be a good idea as we have to pay for PLI etc...Obviously the Wedge calendars will be paid for from this money and then all proceeds or donations will go straight back in....Would you agree with this?

Thanks

Ziga

Well done Mark. My view would be to give the £1500 as £600 is still a decent contingency. Cheers.

Or split the difference and call it £1250? Still a good amount and beats any previous donation by a fair margin...

Mmm...a couple of options, I know that the charity will be grateful whatever we give them, We could split it and then thats a healthy fund for next year and the charity get a healthy chunk....smile

I think either option is good, and well done again Zig. There were some stupendous bids going on at the auction!

It's a shame that BBWF have to pay for PLI now especially as so many club members attend. Let's hope some hatchets can be buried so this aspect can be resolved as it obviously reduces the amount that can be contributed to charity - and for what?

Hi Adam

Thanks for the kind words....I was truly humbled by how exceptionally generous people were this year but then there was some very rare TVR memorabilia items up for grabs...smile

This year there were some aspects that bumped up the PLI premium but generally its not needed, so next year it won't be half as much, Its irrelevant as regards to club members attending as its not a club event and after all... members of clubs are just as welcome as those who are not....smile

The BBWF is a non-profiting organisation and as advocated in this years commemorative brochure..."No expenses were harmed in the making of this event"...Also a decision has been made to......Well you will have to wait and see...hehe
