New owner, at last!

Yorkshire is a big place, I'm in Sheffield and the NE meet is a little too far from me. Would be good to get something organised a bit more local.
Having said that I'm off to Whitby Friday, thinking of stopping by Mathewson car auctions in Pickering en-route.
Any recommendations on good roads around that areas?
