Was at Beaulieu on Sunday and amazed at the number of xO07xxx plates on cars.

I think they outnumbered the V8xxx and V12xxx plates.

How does the DVLA allow zeros and Os to be identical on number plates?

My wife’s car takes advantage of the ‘O’ and ‘0’ discrepancy and some generous spacing...

COM 1C still there though.

Which famous comedian originally had that, and was it once on a Rolls Royce?

The present owner must also be a comedian - it is now on a Kia !

I’ll add mine. My initials, insisted on when I was born by my golf mad father. I can get away parking it wherever I want at golf courses.

I've had a private plate for many years now, so that the snobs in UK cannot tell how old my car is from the numbers/letters on the plate. A 007 AML or 007 SPY plate is all very well if you plan to keep an Aston forever, but a plate that is personal to your name is far more practical (if a tad boring).

Mine has been on a Jaguar, 2 Audis and now my DB9. My non-petrolhead neighbour saw my car for the 1st time and judging by the shine just assumed it was brand new, which was nice.

Just my initials, T80 is random. Was £250 all in and hides the fact that I can only afford a 55 plate Aston..... strangely (psychologists opinions welcomed) I’m hiding it from me! I feel so much better about an ageless car when I open the garage door. Genuinely couldn’t give a monkeys what other people think.
Hence I allow my son to be out in a Norwich City Footie kit, socks and sliders!!!

I am known to my friends as Pauly B, (I live next door to Pauly D) so grabbed a bargain with this. Very few people have a middle name beginning with Y, so not a popular choice, hence a low price.
