Shame about Lawton Brook.
I bought my previous Vantage from them and found them to be really good with the few issues I had with the car.

When my V12VS turned 3 last year I decided to go with the Aston warranty.
£1.7k but proved worth it as I got a number of bits and pieces sorted including a costly clutch.

That isn't the norm though and I do think that most warranties would state the clutch as a consumable.

Spoke to Russell at Lawton Brooks he also had spoken to APA Auto protect the warranty company, and they still insisted it was down to wear and tear. But Lawton Brooks have refunded me half the cost of the repair which I'm happy with. Still think APA auto protect are a bunch of gobshytes

AM V8 Vantage is not available as an 'Automatic' fairly sure you will find that your car is an automated manual, so has a clutch.
I would be looking to the dealer rather than the warranty company, and asking what checks and preparation was done prior.
30k would be a very long period of time for a V8 clutch without change if you read a lot of threads on early cars

I thought the OP is talking about a V12 DB9 which is a real automatic gearbox ?
