Your old DB9 looks like my old car, there can't be that many tungsten 06 Volantes with Tony Halls knobs on. I sold it with around 20k miles on to McGurks about 4 years ago.

insurance... try NFU. BIL has his P90D, Cayenne V8S Diesel and GT3 insured with them for well under £1,000 total.
So - Richard from NFU came in a TWO THOUSAND POUNDS CHEAPER than the cheapest alternative quote.

No brainer. Why the hell didn't I know about NFU twenty years ago? The savings would have paid for the sodding DB11!!!

Chris Stott - you legend.

That's great news!

Savings will keep you in super unleaded for a while, even at single figure MPG wink

Do you wear a posing pouch when you're driving your Gallardo?

Why did they not send that one out to the press instead of that awful baby blue washed out one. Such a looker...

Agree. The DB11 does look good in that colour. There are eleven Magnetic Silvers showing on the used list, so clearly a popular choice by customers (or dealers).

A long time ago, I had a conversation with the AML marketing people about colours.
They seem to favour the bright colours for press and launch cars, because they consider them to be more eye catching, and stand out better in publications etc.

Congrats Jemacd!

BIL picked his up today as well...

Looks a big car in isolation... not so much parked between those 2!

I get that (once asked a certain JC if we could 'have the keys to the bright green Audi please' whilst attending a press launch - well he was acting like he was running the b event... His response face 'I don't work for b Audi' redefined indignace laughbiggrin). But yes you don't want to shoot a grey car against a grey mountain backdrop in N Wales but the colour has to suit the car and not be a wishy washy kindergarten blue with marmite 'chopped carbon' formica dash wink! Madagascar suits it and that colour against a sea of blue or field of green would look fab.

(Sorry David - bit ranty - which I'm sure you will indulge me as that baby blue car got a bit hammered and looked cr@p against the competition in mags which I though unfair and sad). IMHO smile

As an aside the baby blue (Frosted Glass Blue) looks great on a Vantage. But doesn't seem to suit the much larger DB11 at all.

Is that a wooden box in the handover picture? If so, what was in it?

More pictures of the car too please. Hope you’re enjoying. Now at 600 miles in mine; almost time for really enjoying the engine 👍
