One of the best hours of my life.
Excellent! Well done on a terrific looking DB, the red stitching looks really good! These fantastic beasts look so different in different colours, and with and without contrasts etc, but you`ve got a stunner there, I hope you get those first drive home feelings for years to come!Congratulations, lovely colour and spec
I'm currently also in a DB11 V12 while my Vantage is in for some paint work. Like many, when the 11 first came out, I wasn't sure on the looks, but as time's gone on it's now one of my favourite shapes.
From a driving perspective, wonderful - it's quite wide, but carries its weight well, and the engine is a great bit of engineering, along with the gearbox. I can see why the V8 has slightly shorter ratio paddles, the V12 ones feel like they have an overly long travel to them.
The sound is probably 80% of what you'd get in a Vanquish S, when you're in the upper reaches of the rev range, but it sounds great and aside from the torque surge, doesn't feel obviously turbocharged. It's quite frugal also, nearly 28mpg this morning on a steady cruise into work. We don't buy them for that, but if you're driving down to Le Mans or something, it's nice to have a bit more fuel range.
