IIRC there was quite a few posts at the time about people deciding that they couldn’t / wouldn’t turn up and felt they didn’t need to pay in the FULL commitment after he proceeded to book/pay/commit in all good faith. Your memory is letting you down. So I've posted the thread on Bobs Snetterton Track Day. Knock yourself out trying to find me signing up for it, because I didn't as I knew I couldn't make it (would love to have gone, it looked fantastic). And if I had done and then dropped out I would have, of course, compensated those that did go.

I'm not going to take offence as I don't know you Tony and you clearly don't know me (or you would know I would not let someone down if I had committed to something).

But in the words of the great Tony Hall, I will say one thing "tosser!"

I agree with your comments totally. The point I was making more more about an organiser getting their fingers burnt trying to put on event for the benefit of others.

Would love to. Unfortunately unless driving ‘like Miss Daisy’ track days are pretty heavy on the DBS. My ‘old’ V12V was awesome but the extra weight in the DBS especially on such an abrasive surface like Rockingham really would take its toll. I guess double stinting the car with my son and having one of the AM pro drivers with us on a one-to-one all day previously didn’t help the situation. I could come along with all good intentions of taking it easy BUT we all know how those plans can work out!

Just a thought that may help in the circumstances,although something you may have already considered…….if so ignore me.

Lancaster at Cambridge and/or AM Nottingham are both geographically close to Rockingham and with a bit of sweet talking may circulate the event details to their respective customer base in case they can reach owners this forum hasn't.

Equally John McGurk is not that far away and as he's a friend of the forum he too may consider favourably shooting a mail to his client base to help out.

It may help cover any potential short fall and help guarantee your event,something you deserve after all the effort you have put in.

Hi all,

Huge apologies for my absence, I’ve been away for half the year at bloody exhibitions, so first time I’ve logged on for ages.

Also, in the recent snow, my wife’s car was written off by an out of control Audi/sledge and then (wait for it!) Daddy (me) comes to the rescue in my tax efficient and very dull Outlander and does same sledge down the hill and writes off two cars and my own! Disastrous times and a ste beginning to 2018.

Anyway, Paul, I’m still in and wanting to pay now.
