I think for the familiarisation laps we will all be out there or we can split into 2 groups.

I think we should start the day off with half the group going out for 15-20 minutes, then the next group go out for 15-20 minutes, then after that just have an open pit lane?

Not sure how many ladies are coming?? But I think after lunch the 1st 15 minutes should be the ladies only?

Nearly 7 hours of track time between 30 cars!!!

My guess by mid afternoon everyone will be exhausted.

Have fun folks, it's brilliant.

You are dead right.... even only 15 minutes driving at speed and under that amount of concentration will prove enough for most of us.. smile

Maybe set aside an hour in the middle of the day for on-track photographs, pose all the cars in the sun, take a bunch of pics.

I want to get all the cars out on the grid for any pics, a videographer friend of mine is coming along for the day to film it all. Also some drone footage as well...

Paul, a massive thank you for getting this organised. Getting excited now!

I am staying in the Hilton the night before, who else is there? Shall we try to meet up for dinner and a few drinks on the Saturday night?

I am up for that. Perhaps set a time (8pm any good)?

I will drive down late Saturday. Staying Sunday night also.

Cheers, Andy.

I'm aiming to get to the hotel for about 6pm'ish. So drinks in the bar about 6:05pm!? Then a bite to eat in the bar or whatever, I'm easy.

My wife isn't coming now as we can't get anyone to take our 3 children! Never mind, I can be naughtier now, although looking at the early start at Rockingham, I wont be drinking as many pints as usual, infact I might just settle for a bottle of red wine and a Nexium and call it an evening!

Looking forward to seeing you all and your cars!

Cheers,

Guy

For anyone old enough (like me) to still possess a paper driving licence, I received confirmation from Will at Rockingham today that these are acceptable - see below:

Hi Stephen,

Your paper licence will be fine on the day, we do expect these too – should have outlined more clearly in my original text.
Thanks,

Will

Looks to me like the hotel has limited dining. There's a Weatherspoon's next door or theRoyal Tandoori gets a reasonable write up? There's also A Tasca a bit further down Tripadvisor.
Guess walking distance preferred? I'm happy to book something up but like the rest of you its probably pot luck on Internet!

A few shandies and a ruby murray would be good but I’ll go with the flow. Perhaps a time window at the hotel bar and take it from there.
