Anyone driving down from North Yorks?
Toying with the idea of getting a Hotel the night before, didn't realise it would be such an early start!

Hi Northernmedia, (sorry, I don't know your name!)

I'm driving down from Huddersfield on Saturday afternoon.

Lots of us here are staying at the Hilton Hotel just a mile away from the track.

There are two rooms left on Booking.com - Here's the link, get it booked, we will see you in the bar! https://www.booking.com/hotel/gb/hampton-by-hilton...

Cheers,

Guy

The hotel bar is ok, we can always start there and move if we want to...

I should have had named Tshirts for us all made saying "I'm with Burntout" so we all know who we are when we get there... biglaugh

Really cannot wait now.... woohoo
Yes, how about we all aim to meet in the hotel bar for 6'ish, then whoever wants to go to a Wetherspoons to eat, great, although surely hotel can rustle up something!?

Great idea! Why don't we all wear our crash helmets in the bar, then we will definitely spot each other! getmecoat

I’m staying the Sunday night at the Hampton by Hilton, I’ll need a cold beer after 10 hours at the track!

Open face helmet; bought. Go-pro type action cam purchased. Insurance paid. Time to do the necessary!

I'm verging on booking for Sunday night too, don't fancy a 2 1/2 hour drive back afterwards!

I am driving down from York late Saturday afternoon so happy to hook up and go in convoy if that suits you. Pm me if that’s of interest.

Did 3 of these organised by Bob and they were brilliant.

A word of warning for those with CCM's. Don't go too heavy on them. This is the reason I will not be joining in this time.

Have a fun and safe day biggrin
Yes, me too unfortunately.
I learned after Silverstone that I should have swapped my road brake pads out for a track compound for the day and then switch back. The result being front brake pads were finished in the one track day.

Booked into the Hampton Hilton the night before...
See you at the bar smile

Ive done 5 or 6 track days on my carbon ceramics without any issues.
I presume the weight of the DBS doesn't help vs my Vantage.

Simply blast out of the bends and coast into the corners wink

Stay safe and go at a pace that you're comfortable with, we're not racing remember!

Not long now.

Good morning... final countdown has begun!! Can’t wait....

So the weather is not looking too shabby from what I can see forecasted which will be nice...

I had a call from HWM Weybridge this week regarding the cars they are bringing... due to insurance reasons we will not be able to drive the cars, although they will be offering passenger rides. Which is still great, anyone bringing friends and family will get a thrill... also the 2 pro drivers coming will be more than happy to give some in car one on one in our own cars as well.

So we have 2 ARDS instructors that are being supplied by Rockingham, 2 AM pro drivers and not forgetting 10 of us have booked a slot with Matt George..

Roll on next weekend!! woohoo

Is it possible to just come along and watch the fun ?

I've now got a free Sunday and although I'm not that bothered about racing around in my car, would love to watch all you guys having a blast.
