Aston Martin only track day

Paul,
My 2p:
I would agree that having some drinks and snacks at the pits would be a good idea, it was a pita walking so far just for a bottle of water etc.
Open pit format was superb, please dont change it.
Ladies only time IMO was unnecessary. The girls were fine going out with the rest of us.
Keep numbers low. I’d rather spend the extra few pounds having more space. 45 max which I think was your original plan.
Obviously priority booking for those of us that did it this time round, as I expect the interest will rise now people know we didnt all have a pile up and die in some freak fireball accident.
The idea of DA renting rims with tyres on the day is worth pursuing.
Dean should be invited FOC each year (with his car to also take part of course) as his pictures are stunning and he is a top bloke giving up his paid track time to take snaps of the rest of us.
Thanks again for such a good day. It was the best trackday I have attended, no macho crap, just a loads of kids having fun with their toys. Well done fella, you and your missus were charming hosts and set the friendly tone for the event.
Priority booking should be a given , first shout should always be given to those who took the plunge this year.My 2p:

Our annual boys golf trip operates on that basis, someone who dropped out 6 years ago is still waiting to get back in , it’s the fairest way.
Oh no! I've been off-forum for a few days and all the pictures have turned into question marks before I got to see them. Please can they be reinstated Dean?

I was so sorry Martyn to read (and watch your video) about your engine blowup.
Noticed that the fire Marshall called you Sir, which was a polite touch.
You probably do not yet know the initial cause of the sequence of mechanical events, but do you think there might be a weakness that would be helpful for us all to be aware of?

Does anyone have any pictures of my ‘ incident ‘ at Rockingham that they would share with me? I have asked Dean, but he was on the other side of the pits.
Thanks for the kind messages - I’m still evaluating options, but the engine is totalled!
I dont have a picture but I did watch it happen. I was standing in the pits looking out over the banking on the home straight at your car when it went pop. The smoke plume/explosion from your car was maybe 10 ft high, very dense and very grey. Very sad to see. You did really well getting the car off the track. I hope you get it sorted and come back even faster next year. Thanks for the kind messages - I’m still evaluating options, but the engine is totalled!

Hey, I am not sure why you are getting question marks, they are all still there as far as I can see... can anyone else advise otherwise??Mr.Tremlini said:

Agree that Deans pictures are great, but I think he was on track typically when I was so just wondered if anyone else had other shots especially of PAS288 being gingerly driven round? Ta in advance. Happy to contribute to your beer fund etc? Paul
Cheers Paul! Sorry there`s no shots of the V8 in action, I checked and in the end I only had 13 minutes out shooting the session before Martyn`s unfortunate exit, and in that time I think I got about 13 cars on track, but I do have you after the group photo driving away amid the pack so I`ll edit that out for you, better than nothing right... I would have liked to have shot everybody but circumstances conspired against us. Next time !Jon39 said:

If we do get to the bottom of the cause I’ll certainly let people know.

I’m sure I’ll be back next year! It’ll get sorted one way or another. It’s a shame there’s no pictures, now that would have been one for the album! soofsayer said:

The idea of taking snaps of the incident seemed somehow wrong at the time.I have pics and have emailed them to you Martyn - no prior conscience here as Dean suggests and just papped away . It helps that I have taken pics of the car before on many a jaunt
May the old girl rise again, soon:
Meantime still no videos of the day from anyone - other than that bygone handful from me posted earlier? Would love to see any

I got the pictures thanks DEWI. The old girl will definitely be back! I’ll put some videos on when I get a minute. May the old girl rise again, soon:
