Well what a great day that turned out to be. woohoo

So nice to meet you all, really enjoyed it..

I just want to say thank you to you all for making it as easy as possible for me to organise, no one held out with any funds or left me high and dry... laugh

Am so glad every one enjoyed the day and the weather was kind...

I WILL be organising another one for next year, absolutely no hesitation. Rockingham again.. The team and staff were great couldn't of asked for any better, so a massive thank you to all of them. Especially to one of the guys, I think his name is Stuart?? Who came to our rescue in his own time even after he had gone home for the day... Cant thank him and his lovely girlfriend enough...

Another huge thank you to David Appleby, your a true gent..... Thanks for all the help and assistance, Matt George as well, what a really nice lad he is..

And not forgetting HWM Weybridge for coming along with the team and cars, that added a special extra something for the day. Next one we will get together and see if we can make it even better...

Oh and my driving licence was still on the scanner at the trailer company office... rolleyeslaugh

Massive thanks to Paul for genuinely organising one of the best Aston gatherings I've ever had the good fortune to be involved with.
Fantastic company, great weather and some seriously shot Corsa's!

Really good to chat and share a few beers with with some of you too.

Turning left just after the straight at 115mph with the concrete wall a matter of feet away will stay with me for a very long time!

I think I need the exhaust from the white roadster V12 evil

Keep the pics and vids coming

Matt
Thanks Matt il take that massive compliment... next years event will be even better...

LOL all I want to do now is throw my car round race circuits.. 😂

Every one keep your eyes out for the next one... Am thinking April/May next year...

Will have to see what the race calendar dates are before I book anything, but I'm sure we all agree that Rockingham will be the venue.

I think its possible to achieve 40-45 cars next time around? the track wasn't at all crowded with 30 odd cars...

Also some ideas to make the day better, already I have had confirmation from Weybridge Aston Martin that they will be coming to the next one, I think get some catering laid on in the pit garages rather than walk 10 miles for a bacon roll laugh

The legend that is... David Appleby will be happy to return maybe with a good few sets of wheels and slicks for hire and maybe a race car or 2 for passenger rides etc.

I will keep on thinking of ideas... Oh and one more thing, more wives & GF's next time, my Mrs loved the weekend and to be honest after all the long race weekends she came to, she wasn't totally looking forward to it which I can understand, but she thoroughly enjoyed the day and all the socialising too.... She cant wait for the next one .... woohoo

I know I have said already but thank you all that came, a really great bunch and was one of the best weekends car related I have had...

Paul,

My 2p:

I would agree that having some drinks and snacks at the pits would be a good idea, it was a pita walking so far just for a bottle of water etc.

Open pit format was superb, please dont change it.

Ladies only time IMO was unnecessary. The girls were fine going out with the rest of us.

Keep numbers low. I’d rather spend the extra few pounds having more space. 45 max which I think was your original plan.

Obviously priority booking for those of us that did it this time round, as I expect the interest will rise now people know we didnt all have a pile up and die in some freak fireball accident.

The idea of DA renting rims with tyres on the day is worth pursuing.

Dean should be invited FOC each year (with his car to also take part of course) as his pictures are stunning and he is a top bloke giving up his paid track time to take snaps of the rest of us.

Thanks again for such a good day. It was the best trackday I have attended, no macho crap, just a loads of kids having fun with their toys. Well done fella, you and your missus were charming hosts and set the friendly tone for the event.
My thoughts exactly.....

Already making notes and ideas for next year.. woohoo

Did your friend with the drone get any footage?
Ha yes and I have been chasing him..... He is a very busy boy I know this much but he will be getting all the footage together.

I will post it up as soon as I get it.
