I can't come to grips with the panel aft of the wheel. Looks like it is partially detached. Maybe better in real life...
I’m exactly the same, it’s the feature I like least on the car. It doesn’t look any better in real life in my opinion. I think the Volante looks a lot better than the coupe, it’s just the small details like above that i dislike. It still isn’t on the same level as the original DB9 for me. That car never seems to age whereas I think this one will.
I don't particularly like that launch colour but the blue one at AM Chichester looks stunning
I'm really intrigued to see how AM will differentiate the new Vantage roadster (guessing launching next year) with the DB11 Volante. Same engine and by all accounts the V8 DB11 has a very sporty character to it (perhaps in a way the DB9 didn't) presumably aided by the adjustable suspension that allows for much harder settings
The new Vantage is going to have to be some car to drive....

Just saw it in real life today: Ultramarine blue with blue softtop, very stylish, will post pics and video later.
Car looks much smaller than the DB9/DBS Volante. The good news is that it has NO small side windows on the front (like the Vanquish Volante and the Vantage Roadstet have), so more DB9/DBS like as a Volante, but more inner space, also in the back (only for children, but still).
Front windshield is not disturbing when driving topless (like it is in the Maser GranCabrio, terrible design flaw) and next to the RR Dawn and the Mercer S class cabrio, it is one of the few convertibles with double glass on the side window (=very silent when driving with the roof closed).
Also test drove the DB11 V8 Coupe, and I was impressed: much more emotion (sound, steering, etc) than the V12. Not as emotional as the N/A V12 in the previous models, but the V8 is very involving, and has a very direct gas response. In Sport+ mode it is really exciting, and in Comfort very relaxing cruiser. Even when the same price, I would seriously consider the V8 over the V12 (but would not trade in my DBS with N/A V12 for it :-))

In that picture it looks to me as though the wheel sizes are increasing to comical proportions! A beardie designer's wet dream, but look daft in real life.
Good that you mention this. In real life the DB11 Volante looks much smaller than a DB9/DBS Volante, so maybe therefore the wheels look bigger? Did not look at the size, but assume 20 inch, I have to check the configurator.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
