So, if a picture is worth a thousand words, here`s a little 30,000 word piece I knocked together to get the ball rolling. This thread "Shutter Speed" (see what I did there...) is where I will post the occasional photo, be it of my V8 Vantage, race cars, or other people`s Aston Martins that I happen to point a camera at. I hope this will be an interesting feed for you folks and if you have any questions, requests, queries please drop me a message and I will reply as soon as time allows, which is sometimes not often...
For those here that don`t know or are wondering, yes, I am a full time photographer, as much as a self-employed photographer can be full-time, and cars and motorsports were some of the first things I shot when I bought my first serious camera some 35 years ago... I`m not sure I like that when I write it down... anyway this has been a terrific career as among other things it enabled me to buy an Aston Martin, and meet my wife!

If curious, this is my "seriously in need of an update" website: www.treml.co.nz or you`ll find me on instagram as deantreml if that`s your thing.

Alrighty! I am currently in Japan for the 7th round of the WEC (13-15 Oct 2017) so some shots should be along forthwith!

Your photographs are clearly the product of many years of experience handling a camera. Awesome pictures. One of my best friends is Steven Speilbergs stills photographer and knowing him for a good while, I can appreciate just how busy you guys are, apart from behind the lens.

So..........Canon or Nikon?

My friend and I are both Canon "guys", which are you?

You`d think so huh... Interesting question due to the timing, as yes I am a Canon guy, (have been for 18 years) but in 10 days I will be a Nikon guy, going back to the dark side. ;-) I last used Nikon `89 to `99.

Speilberg`s stills guy, sounds like an incredible gig! I always liked the idea of movie stills, photographing in a different time and dimension with his types of movies!

Great images. Have they all been taken for clients, or there possibility of us buying some prints ( or just the high files so we get some done locally )

I looked on your site but no store.

Thanks

I can sell prints privately, it`s no problem, just not a thing I promote, please just contact me via PM and let me know what your after and we can sort something out!

Cheers!

Free Practice 3 @ Fuji, and the dull, dark, fog and rain was still hanging around. Great for moody photos, not a day for AM in the qualification department though.

So clearly a dismal day for those of an Aston Martin persuasion... but at least there was some interesting light conditions as it nearly turned into a night race thanks to the Fuji micro-climate...
