Just got home from Research Garage in Nuneaton with my new toy - love it!

Once I can get the images the right way round I'll post them up!

I think you just need to edit them in the phone and resave. Looking forward to seeing it - seriously considering one of these next.

Looks really good the white and red (normally not a fan of white)

Great to see these become a popular choice on here.

A few threads to read if bored:

Oh yes! Only did about 60 miles yesterday, and it was delivered with 8 miles on the clock, so taking it gently so far.

Will get some more miles on it today...

Thanks - I'd read your thread, but hadn't seen the others.

They do some great colours, but I thought white with red was the Classic Abarth colour scheme.

Always liked the Abarth 500s, ever since I heard an Esseessee starting up in a multi-storey car park cool

Done just over 200 miles in it now. Keeping the revs down for another few miles yet, but Its brilliant!

The exhaust noise is fabulous - cold starts are very loud, and the echoes in an underground car park earlier today were hilarious.

The Sabelt seats are rock hard, but are comfortable, there’s loads of road noise, the ride is firm. Just about perfect ;-)

It may not be the best small hot hatch in terms of all round ability, but it is very nicely put together, and is absolutely bursting with character, and I just grin every time I see it. I just don’t think a Fiesta ST would be the same!

Even my wife, who hated the Caterham, Defender and MX5 that preceded it, loves it. In fact, it has gained a load of attention - even had a boy in the car next to us videoing it in traffic on the M42 today.

I’m hooked

Still miss mine - fab little car.....most people who have them seem to say the same thing; they put a smile on your face; and you don't even have to be driving it fast.

Never had anything but a positive response from people when I tootle around in mine. Had it since May and is probably the most intoxicating car I have owned.

Old chap climbing out of his motor home gave me the thumbs up in the supermarket car park Saturday laugh

As promised, a few more photos...

There are some lovely details inside and out, and there is a huge amount of change over the donor car - different engine, exhaust, suspension, brakes, seats, steering wheel etc.

Side badging:

Front wheels (17") with Brembo caliper:

Exhausts (The Competizione has the Record Monza exhaust - the innermost pipes are routed via the rear silencer, with the outer two being unsilenced, and few via a sprung valve that opens as the exhaust pressure rises - they sound fantastic!):

Interior (Sabelt seats - very firm, but comfortable; a lovely leather, alcantara and carbon steering wheel; ali gearknob; metal pedals; boost gauge; 7" upgraded touchscreen with nav and a TFT instrument cluster):

Underbonnet (1.4 with Garrett turbo and a BMC filter):

Try as I might, I can't get the underbonnet shot to show the right way up. Let's pretend this is the Australian spec banghead

I love these, especially with the monza exhaust. Sounds like a mini 4C to me. smile

I've been trying to convince the wife to get rid of her twin air 500 and get one.

We’ve just ordered the same. Will have to do a sound off with the 4c when it arrives.

The sound is incredible, particularly on a cold start.

Been away all week, and am so looking forward to upsetting the neighbours when I take mine out shortly!
