Still in love with the car, the looks, the sound, the finish., the feeling you get every time you get in and drive it. Its a real occasion - has been a hugely practical car, very comfortable for kids, done a fair few runs to Costo etc with great boot space esp with back seats folding down.

Car has been solid overall, other than couple of maintenance items for its age e.g. belts and spark plug/coil packs.

For the money has to be one the best bargains out there at the moment - go for it.

Rapide questions - rather liking a 60 plate I've seen - early £50ks

- how low is it...does it sail over speedbumps ok or front splitter issues?
- does anyone know can you get a standard road bike in the bike with the seats folded?
- if it comes with an Aston warranty is there anything to be worried about running costs wise other than standard consumables
- reviews mention how good the ride is ...do you agree?
- if its parked outside do they leak at all?

I currently have a black M3 and whilst I like the dual purpose ness of it, I cant escape the fact that for not huge amounts more I could have a Rapide, which is much less in your face and much more classy. I've never owned an Aston but these have started to look compelling to my eyes at this money

thx for any shared knowledge

1. Speedbumps not a problem (actually that's generally true of most Aston Martins I've found with the exception of the GT8/12. Those circular multi-story car park ramps though can be a little more concerning (the bonnet is long and its a bit unnerving if the ramp is tight)

2. Boot space is generally very good with the back seats down (buy a blanket to put over the seats to stop them being marked by your luggage/bicycle whatever). I didn't try to fit a bicycle in but I would imagine if its one of those ones that you can remove the front wheel from it should be do-able. Not sure if you can't remove the front wheel

3. Warranty covers most things (barring consumables). Only thing to watch for with Aston Martins is that some of them suffer from paint bubbling (normally around the wing mirrors). Its not terminal, just a pain (and some money) to get fixed and its position under warranty is unclear. So make sure you inspect the paint for any signs

4. They shouldn't leak. Mine did though but that was fixed with a change of seals (I figure the previous owner, an AM director kept it in a garage so didn't notice as opposed to me keeping it on my drive)

Agree with everything Rob said - a first for the internet anywhere probably wink

Its far better over road humps than my missus M235i in compliance and clearance - don't think she has ever grounded anywhere.

Its too big for most tight old school multi storeys - jeez how I struggled with the 'compact' Macan in one the other day. 90 right 'corners' are a pain. I don't think the Rapide would have even made it.

No leaks!

Fab car.

Bargain.
