Looks like it. It is on their website for £380k

Would love to own it but it’s way past what I will spend.

Reserve price is £380k, we hope it will achieve more that that, in which case we will donate 50% of that additional amount to the RAF Benevolent Fund.

Thanks Chris. Simon & his team, Philippa & myself spent days on it. Very happy with the result. Let’s hope it does the trick!

Thanks Chris, getting the e-brochure right took a few drafts before we got all the detail nailed down correctly, Red 10 is different to the other 9 cars in many subtle ways (eg Big Battle formation on headrests vs Diamond 9 on other cars) so we were vary careful to ensure we got everything in the itemised spec correct.

There are a huge choice of images as the car has done so much, it was difficult selecting which ones to use in the e-brochure but I think the look & feel of it does justice to the car, the project and Humphrey & Phillipa's great work since winning Red 10. There are more images on the used car listing on AM Approved here:- https://preowned.astonmartin.com/preowned-cars/620...

There is also a landing page on the JMG website which contains a 'submit a bid' button (be careful here, especially with a wine glass in the other hand!):- https://www.jardinemotors.co.uk/aston-martin/news/...

We are all hoping that whoever buys the car will continue to allow others to enjoy it. 3.5 weeks to go until we draw the winning bid.

Got to say I would have done things very differently.

As the project was about raising money for charity I would have started the bidding at the price of a new vanquish s and all the remainder of the proceeds above that go to the benevolent fund. Original winner gets shiny new car, charity gets money, new owner gets the satisfaction of knowing the premium for the car goes to the charity. Much nicer story and better outcome all round imo.

Soofsayer,

I'm sure every owner would choose to do something different. H Bradley has his reasons and motivations for structuring this as has; I'm sure a lot of consideration and soul searching went into making this decision. I don't think it fair to openly criticise his approach in this thread through the lens of "what you would do."

Hope the sale finds the right buyer. Better to have loved and lost than never loved at all! smile

You’ve lost me there .

It’s a private car being sold with a starting price of £380k and anything above that will result in a donation to charity of 50% of the amount over the starting price.

Remember that’s on top of the £1.5m that it raised in the first place.

The gentleman who won originally has done his bit to help and had a bit of fun doing so no doubt , for whatever reason he wants to sell his car , that’s fine by me.

It’s a win win situation for everyone involved .

When I first released details about the Vanquish S Red Arrows project on this forum, there were a number of comments made that inferred the cars were too expensive. There were also comments that inferred the cars would be a poor investment as they were a dealer led special edition. All this scaremongering proved to be incorrect, therefore I'm going to grasp the nettle and explain the pricing decision.

To add some context on the price point, 2 x Vanquish S Red Arrows have exchanged hands at £340k. The price was set at this level by the owner of the first car who advertised it for sale at that price via Tom Hartley. This car was subsequently repatriated to Aston Martin Cambridge and sold on to its current owner. The second car was never advertised for sale, I placed the car personally at £340k by making 2 x phone calls.

Of the 10 x cars built, AM10 RED is the car that led the project, enjoyed some significant celebrity endorsement, was photographed on numerous occasions with the team and is by far the best known car. It has every right to have a higher value than the other nine cars.

I had the privilege of driving in the car with Humphrey down The Mall a few months ago at the launch of Rally for Heroes and there were members of the public shouting 'Red 10' as we drove past. It is a very well known car and should prove to be a solid long term investment for any collector.

The entry price point to bid is £380,000, to have started a sealed bid process at a lower level would, in my opinion, have sent the wrong message about the car and its significance in the history of both Aston Martin and the Red Arrows team. Proof will be served in a pudding (again) on 24th October.

I do not doubt the sentiments. As someone whose entire family was in the mob (my father served over 35 years and I also went for Officer Selection at RAF Biggin Hill back in the day - alas I am colour blind), I loved this car and bought a significant number of tickets to win it. Was rather disappointed not to win.

However, if I had a spare GBP 380,000 right now, I would be speccing a DBSS in ultramarine black with the triaxial quilting, buying the Cosmograph Daytona, booking a Barbadian three week jaunt for the memsahib and I, and would probably have sufficient change for a couple of decent jackets from Brioni.

You might want to wait for my next project, coming public on Nov 1st, before ordering that DBS....

Possibly multiply the £100 by 10 and then double it, if the first 3 year depreciation percentage is similar to a V8 Vantage.

As you say, a very big difference when compared to a famous car.

Sorry Jon, it was an error in my original post (was typing quickly, so missed off the ‘k’).

Ok £100k is probably an exaggeration, £50k probably more reasonably depending on whether you stay at Sandy Lane or not biggrin

Very much doubt it’s going to be black though.

It might be Aston Martin Racing Green and based on New DBS, but that's as much as I'm saying for now! It's a very very cool project and I'm super excited about it : )
