Buying a Vantage privately
Discussion
Agreed. Buy privately and you are your own warranty.
It has always worked well for me and I perceive there are benefits of buying privately that enable me to make more informed decisions about a car and then carry my own risk.
I can see why that isn't for everyone and one day I hope I can put my red pants on and stride into an Aston dealership for some expensive coffee. On that day I hope Simon or his analogue is in there as he seems sensible.

Also recently, admittedly very rare, the case of the brand new engine being fitted soon after purchase, by the main dealer.
If that had been a private purchase, then maybe a £20,000 unexpected cost.
The dealers (and AM) were superb in that instance. 'BIG UP' for Charles Hurst, Belfast
