I had exactly the same experience with my DB9. The clutch bite was high when I acquired it at just over two years old. I queried it and was assured it was normal. A year later, it started to slip and cost me £4K to replace.

My V12V was new, is now six years old with 32,000 miles on the clock and the clutch is as good as new.

I think you need to be wary of second hand, manuals, particularly V8Vs and DB9s, with the single plate, because the first owner may not have been very mechanically sympathetic.

Unless it's ridiculous, go for the twin plate. No contest.

Took everyone's advice and went for the twin plate clutch with lightened fly wheel...

Brentwood AM lived up to they're promise and as a good will gesture supplied and fitted clutch half price biggrin

Car is all fixed and I collect it on Saturday, I haven't had my car since Jan.... So I'm well excited about getting it back.... woohoo

I have got to say I'm really happy so far with the service I have had from both HWM Weybridge and Brentwood.....

Sounds great, looking forward to hearing how it drives.

Has anyone had a twin plate clutch fitted to a DB9 as mine is heavy (but perfectly fine) and I wonder what improvement I would find?

A mixture of a rammed work shop me stealing the car back to have it detailed as was booked in plus a difficult fault to find and rectify, add some logistics issues in there as well LOL.....

just excited to get it back....

So what about the oil pressure warning fault?
Please keep reporting about the twin plate clutch as to how you get along with it. AMR Performance clutch? Enhanced "transmission clutter"?
