My Colleague has now provided with me with the figures in answer to your questions.

1, There were less than 550 right hand manual V8 Vantage Roadsters made (excluding the N400).
2, There were less than 50 right hand drive manual V8 Vantage S Roadsters made.
3, There were less than 50 right hand drive manual V12 Vantage Roadsters made.
4, There were less than 50 right hand drive manual V12 Vantage S Roadsters made.

Unfortunately we will never give you exact figures.

My comment : AM seem to have gone vague with their figures

Interesting

Is that 550 covering 4.3 & 4.7 ?

Fairly low numbers overall

Obviously there are a few AMRs to add - I assume they aren't covered in the V12S number

I see you are dealing with RHD, so mostly UK (which other countries would that include, Japan? )
The DVLA database might be more precise, if almost all the cars are UK.

When I last spoke to people at the Aston Martin Heretage Trust, they mentioned never being able to obtain model information, during the Dr. Bez era.
They hoped now that there would be a change, particularly after the ending of model production.

This might have occurred, because I recently read that they are undertaking a project, to create a database to include every Aston Martin from 1913.

I think the major markets are:

- UK & Channel Islands
- Ireland
- Australia
- New Zealand
- Japan
- India
- South Africa
- Singapore

So for AML, I'd guess UK deliveries make up c70% of RHD production?

Makes sense - Uk DVLA figures here for Roadsters...manuals very rare, just checked my 2012 and only 10 that year registered in the UK...of course there may be a few that are not registered correctly by dealers and the owners never chose to update the V5....could still be down as "Vantage"

How do you get to 10 registered in 2012? Interested as I think I must be mis-reading it!

I wouldn't read to much into these figures as it all depends if the person filling out the forms puts the correct model details in, sometimes they may just call it a V8 even though it may be a Roadster etc.

According to this data there is a 499cc and 7000cc Vantage somewhere....

And these figures show a diesel V8 Roadster SS........

You could try the DVLA original data file if you wish.

May need the OpenDocument Reader app to open the file, but lots of interesting stuff if you like stats.

If the webpage lists many database tables, number 160 is probably the one you want.

the number of V8 Vantage roadster goes up by 10 (147 to 157) between 2012 to 2013, so thats 10 more UK registered cars of that model that year

...and yes the data is reliant on the car being registered on the V5 as the correct model....its still the best public data available to us

Ah, ok - I was taking it as there being 99 by the end of 2011, and 132 by the end of 2012 - so 33 registered in 2012.

Regardless of the accuracy, these figures really do show just how low volume many derivatives of the car are, even though the Vantage platform has been the "volume" seller for Aston Martin

Really puts it into perspective when someone like Porsche make more cars per month, than Aston has done in its entire 100+ year history....
