Battery Cable recall
Discussion
I'm so glad to get an explanation for the smoke that started billowing into the cabin the last two times I drove the car. I do drive with the seat back as far as possible and each time it has happened I was parked on an incline, which would just increase the pressure. Going to book it in asap and may get a few other tiny warranty issues looked at, too.

Got mine today too, trying to find the nearest dealership to Grimsby, would it be Stynes of Nottingham ?
Or Leeds maybe slightly closer? not a lot in it though, and the drive to Notts via Lincoln & Newark on the A roads is nicer, I used to live in Grimsby and always enjoyed the run through to Notts on.a nice day.dmilthorp said:
Thanks Manx V8V, yes agree the drive to Nottingham is far nicer. Guess it's going there then.
I used to take the Mansfield road at Newark rather than following the Nottingham signs, and then cut through Southwell, brings you out on the outskirts of Nottingham near Arnold, just as quick but really nice drivers roads..... in the summer anyway.Called Grange Aston Martin Welwyn today to book the DB9 in for the recall. As the battery insulation issue is actually affecting me, they suggested I call Aston Martin Emergency Assistance and get the car delivered to the dealership on the back of a trailer. So ninety minutes later I said goodbye to the old girl and off she went.
If you DO get smoke in the cabin due to the short-circuit or any other reason, don't drive your car!
