I've had my eye on this car for a while and finally pulled the trigger.

2012 V8 Vantage
Manual transmission
12,500 miles
Tungsten silver

Daily driver: any advice? My commute is about 40 miles round trip to my office. Anyone have any experience on this, or suggest me not using it as my daily driver?

Mods: I'm interested in (1) a rear backup camera, and (2) linking my iPhone display to the SatNav.
Something along the lines of this: https://youtu.be/XdKd-FZGafo (but no GoPros / front cameras). I found a local shop who said they can do this. Any advice on parts/providers?

Thanks!

congratulations

good looking car - great colour

I drive my 07 V8V daily and no issues at all

they dont like lots of stop start traffic (like when stuck on a motorway after an accident or similar) can set the emission light off

other than that just enjoy driving it and remember to look back after you park it and smile at how damn good it looks

Well done! A stunning looking example you have procured, and in the correct colour wink

While I don't "daily" my '07 per se as I don't have a daily job, I do drive it very regularly, 26000km (16000 miles) in 2 & 1/2 years, no major issues to report, just consumables and the same stuff as people who baby their cars like headlight/taillight fogging/moisture for example.

I saw these guys front camera/phone installation set-up while I was in the UK 18 months ago, they did a tidy job, have a look...

Yep - James is the well regarded expert on this kind of stuff. I'm sure other companies are competent, but I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I would second (or third) that. James set up my 03 Vanquish and has put cameras and full sound off Iphone on it. Neat, tidy and a nice guy.

Thanks for the replies and apologies for my late reply.
Yes, I am in the U.S. I've found a shop that would do it and I spoke with the Aston Martin dealership about this shop. They didn't tell me *not* to proceed, so I'll take it there and see how it goes.
