Hi
I have been looking at changing my 2011 530d m sport saloon to an SUV. I have priced the Skoda Kodiaq and have looked at a Grand Jeep Cherokee. I love the F Pace but my budget won't stretch to one of those. I have seen 2014 sportbrake 3.0 priced in the 17-19 k bracket. They are are a lovely looking car and would be handy with 3 kids etc. Has anyone run a 2014/5 sportbrake recently. The new one looks amazing but again is out of my budget
Thanks

My wife and I ran one for 3 years from new, great car, good handling and good to look at. I replaced it with a saloon, but next one will be the estate again as the saloon boot is just not big enough on occasion.

The 3.0d is starting to see some issues with diesel-in-oil contamination causing premature engine failure. Seems to be only a few cars affected, but I wouldn’t run one now without a bullet-proof warranty, as Jaguar tend to be a bit unsupportive of out-of-warranty failures.

That said, they are a cracking car. I’ve had a couple of XFS saloons, and have been the most reliable cars I’ve owned. Far better than the German cars I’ve had. I now have a 5.0 supercharged version, and it is epic.
