After what seems like an eternity finally got a chance to see our AMR car and 3/3 in our mini edition. I think you always worry that you are going to like what you have specced but really pleased. A couple of pictures and more when we collect it on Thursday.

Ian what a fabulous colour combination. If you had tried to describe it I would have been sceptical, but it’s an inspired choice.

Ian, I am very pleased for you all. A wonderful journey and lots of stress but undoubtably worth it. Just go out and enjoy the car now!

Can’t wait for Thursday to come and it will be used - and soon.

We are off to the Nurburgring for the AMR celebration in May, Le Mans in June and quite a few AMOC events around the country.

Should see you at Le Mans Humphrey and very much looking forward to see Red 10 in the flesh! We are in the Flexotel Area as well.

Didn't know these cars had a different door card. CF presumably?

I like the way they have done the leather armrest there

All three of us went for GT12 doorcards and I really love the look for them.

Agreed - very nice. And helps to make the car that bit different and more special.

Dare I ask where the handle to open the door is?

Looking at the door from the inside it is just to the right of the leather door pull.

Well, she is home and, having been a bit worried that it would take time to adapt back to a manual I found it so much better than the demonstrator I drove back when the 7 speed first came out.

I had of course seen the car last Saturday but AM Bristol made it such a special event. My thanks to Aaron, Lloyd and the team for how accommodating they have been and for giving us such a special day. Thanks to all at Gaydon for allowing us to spec what is a unique colour scheme with such special touches it has. Thanks also to the guys at Topaz for their fabulous prep and PPF work.

We now have a very special car which, all being well, will be our forever car. Some pictures:

After a good drive - back at home. She does appear to be a fly magnet smile

How do you choose?

What happens if you forget which key is for which car smile

And to make sure we never forget a lovely surprise gift from the AM Bristol team that will join our other Aston pictures in the office and always be a wonderful reminder of the various stages to getting this fabulous car.

I can't wait to see it in the flesh when we get together Ian - a totally unique colour combo and it really does look fab - be interesting to see how much you take out flugplatz now. The gearbox is so improved from the dogleg car we all drove at Gaydon however long ago it was and with the rear de-cat and new inlet manifolds, the engine begs to be taken to over 5k revs- only problem is even in 2nd gear, that requires some fairly high speeds.....

That looks stunning Ian, well all of them do. Love the colour combination, not one I would have thought of, but beautiful.
Interestingly I had the same opinion of the gearbox mine is so much smoother than the demonstrator that I drove.
Enjoy.
