Aston Martin - Owners who have bought more than one car.
Discussion
Hello, OP here.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this topic.
Remarkably in just five days, we have now reached 100 posts.
I try to come up with topic subjects which might be of interest, and occasionally 'hit the mark'.
We already knew that a number of PHers have owned several Aston Martins, but this topic has certainly shown us, just how widespread the repeat buying loyalty has become. Existing owners must form a very welcome percentage, of new Aston Martin car buyers.

It remains to be seen, how many of those buying the new cars will stay loyal to the brand.CSK1 said:

Why would this not be the case? As the cars become technically more competent, with greater choice & definition between models & the brand growing in stature & prominence, I think that it's much more likely that new buyers will remain loyal!

For me, I have no desire for anything that is in the pipeline. My next Aston might be a V12VS or a Vanquish coupe, maybe a Rapide. Whichever I get (if I get) would be an addition to the stable.
I came to the Aston brand from Lotus -
Started in a 2010 V8V coupe. Great two years with it, not a single issue.
Moved into a 2012 roadster N420 which was just different enough to justify changing to.
I've just jumped out of the brand I'm afraid to try something different (540C), but I'm sure I'll be back!

Bit of a slow response but here goes:
V12V Ceramic Grey
+ DB9.2 Volante Midnight Blue
V12VS SSIII China Grey in for V12VS
Vanquish 8 Sp Storm Black in for V12VS
+ N 430 Ceramic Grey (again!)
+ early DBS manual Lightning Silver
V12VS manual Stratus White in for N430
+ GT8 Onyx Black
Vanquish Ultimate in Ultimate Black currently in build will be in for Vanquish 8 Sp
Needless to say there's some Aston love in this house!!
Cheers

Always wanted one so bought a DB9 Volante a few years ago. Lovely.
Then needed more space so changed it for a Rapide S. Lovely.
Then had some reliability challenges (electrical) and given it was my main car bought a new 911 991.1 GTS. Drove that for a year quite bored so sold it. Yes it is very fast, yes it goes round corners but unlike the Astons I never turned round to smile at it when I walked away. An RS6 Performance replaced it.
Now have the new Vantage coming in June to be the mad weekend brother for the RS6. Expect to keep it 3 years then probably get new Vanquish or get the V12 Vantage which I guess may be around by then.
Have a hankering after a DBS Volante Carbon edition; for me these are peak Aston beauty of the last generation and as soon as I can free up garage space will hopefully get a 2011/2012 model.

Well, I have had a couple
Started in 2007 with a 4.3 V8V in meteorite with a black cherry interior. We specced it at the factory and still to this day do not know why we didn’t end up with tungsten and bitter chocolate interior that we walked in expecting to spec.
The next one was the recessions fault. In 2009 we upgraded to a new 4.7 V8V again meteorite but this time a black interior. Both these were SS cars.
The next one is my wife’s fault we did our first tour in 2010 and she thought that a convertible would be the thing to have. So next was a DB9 Volante (470bhp version) in Lightening Silver. Great tourer but a bit quiet.
The next one was Aston’s fault (in more ways than one) they announced the roadster version of the V12V and we were buying the last normally aspirated V12 manual! We at least got our tungsten and bitter chocolate combination
Then to keep the miles off our forever car we bought a V12VS roadster and shocked the dealer with our scheme
This one really is Aston’s fault they brought out another final, final last manual V12 Vantage, the AMR and that will be with us soon! I hope it is!
So I hope you will agree it’s not my fault we have had to buy all these Astons
Just found this thread again and thought I would update it. The AMR arrived back in May - what a car Started in 2007 with a 4.3 V8V in meteorite with a black cherry interior. Have had my first Aston since June a 2015 SS3 V12VS, absolutely love it...car just oozes character and charisma and such a hoot to drive, there is something special about owning an Aston and so much love from the general public. Will certainly keep it for a couple of years, interesting that an early Vanquish now around 100k mark the most beautiful recent Aston I think. I defo want to scratch the McLaren itch in the future so I'd say a 570GT might replace the V12 when the time comes...but at the moment couldn't be happier with the Vantage.
Congratulations Ian on clocking up 2500 posts, well done sir.
Surprised you missed the "where's Wally" on Pumpmans picture post outside the Church..........?, do you recognise that strange man with his arm raised.
Also well done Rob as you are now nearing 3000 posts, you boys really need to get a hobby......
Nice one Andy on the new Vantage btw, I like the time line of pictures and note I might have had a finger in at least 3 of those pictures pies.
Not too many sleeps now........
