I note nobody has owned up to having a cygnet in their garage

Lol, I did actually look at buying a Cygnet (eldest daughter will be learning to drive a car in 3 months, yikes). But have you seen the price of them frown

Beautiful. I don’t normally like white on a car but that really works well (Morning Frost?) with the DB9 lick

History will judge. I think we’ve been lucky to have enjoyed the VH platform based cars over the last 14 years. History will judge those exceedly well I expect.
Wise words, I absolutely agree. And maybe at some stage in the (far) future the man in charge who was responsible for these cars being built will finally receive the acknowledgment he deserves on this forum.

My first was a DB9, then DB9 Volante

I kept the DB9 Volante and added an 8 speed Vanquish to the mix. Eventually sold the DB9 Volante (just didn't use it!) then moved up to the Vanquish S.

I will keep the Vanquish S for a long, long time and most likely end up in the new DBS this year will still keep the Vanquish S though!

im afraid I am only a pauper who saved for years to get my one and only Aston in 2014 ... was looking at getting a V12V as a pension pot but im going to stick with my 2006 example. I wish I could afford another but feel privileged to have an Aston Martin to drive and admire

In 2000, I fulfilled a lifetime ambition: to buy an Aston Martin. I bought a DB7 Vantage brand new. I drove it for a few years but then heard the DB9 was on the way. I decided to place an order for the DB9 and cut the DB7 Vantage before others started to dump it. I bought a Ferrari 360 Modena F1 to tide me over.

I put two deposits down on DB9s, one in Norfolk, one in London (thinking I would flip one). The London one arrived first - about the 5th customer car in the country. I drove it for sixth months before the Norfolk one arrived. I sold the first and kept the second.

I bought a DBR1 replica with a friend as a laugh. Had it for a couple of years but we only ever did about 500 miles in it. Not an everyday car.

I drove the second DB9 for a few years, then bought a new black DB9. The black colour did my head in. It only ever looked clean for a few minutes after I'd washed it. I sold it and bought a new DBS V12 coupe.

I had that for a looong time. I thought I'd keep it forever (and still sometimes wish I had even though what replaced it is demonstrably better). But I wanted a convertible, so I got a Vanquish Volante.

So 1x DB7, 3x DB9, 1x DBR1, 1x DBS, 1x Vanquish for me.
