I finally fulfilled my Schoolboy dream and bought my 1988 V8 Vantage X pack 10 years ago which I still have and will never sell

Then in 07 my Wife bought a new DB7 Sport Pack which she sold and bought a New DBS V Carbon black in Dec 10, still have that too but only covered 2000 miles

Then last Sept I bought a 2013 V12V to use daily.

So currently have 3 Astons but owned 4.

Love the X Pack - that car has so much presence . Three great cars - possibly the perfect collection ( with an early DB4/5 thrown in for good measure)

Beautiful, but who's idea was it to use a dung heap as a backdrop? laugh

Before it was deleted, there was briefly a contribution on here, about Aston Martins more recently being photographed in front of rather low standard houses. Perhaps it was a joke although not very nice, but I did have a couple of photos ready to respond.

DB5 Volante - being driven carefully out of Buckingham Palace.
New Vantage - parked partly on the pavement outside a terraced house, with fake stone lions on top of the gate pillars.

That's not a dung heap, that actually a Tracy Emin installation.

That wasn’t very nice of someone, was it?
You know who you are and should be ashamed of yourself.

Quite funny AZ .......but incorrect.
It's an ecological house,as seen on Grand Designs on the TV.
The majority of the house is underground whilst the pile of poo is great for insulation.

There's no such thing as a DB5 Volante, the first Volante was the Short Chassis Volante, the one driving out of Buckingham Palace will be Prince Charles' DB6 Volante.

That is a stunning collection! Probably my favourite Astons along with a classic DB from the David Brown era.

Can't it be both?

Hmm, making me think I’ve done this wrong: I started with a V8 Vantage, now got a DB7 Vantage.
Anyone else working their way backwards?
Thinking about it...

It’s a bit like wine: as you get older, you appreciate the subtlety of the more mature vintages...

Then went bonkers:

Sold the '7 but bought this:

And finally managed to buy what was, and still is, my poster car:

absolutely hate the current direction, no longer cohesive and elegant design.
Is funny how opinion can be so divided, I think the exact opposite; love the new direction. Maybe they are on the right path because they want to move to a new customer?
