It's really disappointing that an individual decided to break an NDA to get this photo, but perhaps AML will have learnt a lesson about who they invite to confidential pre-launch viewings. That said, there have been many spy shots/FaceTube videos floating about the interweb over the last couple of months. I just hope the reality will have some surprises tomorrow.

Quite interesting that strip across the big mouth grille in some of those pics - but not all. I love it when they keep the iconic proportions AM grille look. The grille is such a brand icon for most manufacturers.

Meanwhile the majority of people who are invited to the 'confidential' events (that's the actual name of the events) are regular buyers who have placed a deposit on the car and then get a chance to see it and spec it before the embargoes are lifted, so that production can start on the cars in time for delivery - seems a pretty reasonable strategy to me.

These early preview events and the deposits resulting from them, form an important part of AML's capital financing. In the case of the Valkyrie, it is possible that about £50,000,000 has been obtained from customers, considerably in advance of production.

A little background, which might be of interest.
[ The 70% figure, if true, bodes well for the new model. ]

An important part of AM’s business model is using its little black book of existing and prior AM owners to showcase new model prototypes in small, private viewings. Deposits taken to reserve models, in what are sometimes single-digit production runs, provide additional capital to fund development and commence production. For the new Vantage that launched on 21st November 2017, three showcases per day over weeks in October-November had yielded reservations from 70% of attendees. AM was looking to repeat the success of the DB11, for which initial deposits fully funded the capex required to bring the model to production.

I agree with comments about people needing fingers chopped off etc... but I have to wonder who posted the leaked image. You can see other people in the photo also with a phone, so very strange. I'm sure the others who were lucky enough to see it like me were also closely escorted and so no chance to even pull out a phone if somebody had a hidden one or not handed it in. I'm guessing the poster and the people in background of the photo were not potential customers and part of the rather wonderful show that was given

Think for yourself - don't toe the Koch brothers/Murdoch media / Big Oil line. There is nothing that makes an EV more of a bomb than a car that runs on explosions.

Fully leaked, a little underwhelmed tbh but I'll hold off for the live images.

Thanks.

I agree. It's not as good as I hoped.

The shame for me is that the interior is identical to that of the DB11. For the £100k + extra I would have liked something a bit different. They managed a unique interior on the Vantage, but not on their flagship?

Don't be ridiculous, I'm not toeing anybodies line. The didn't even enter my mind. It is a well known fact that damaged lithium Ion batteries "can" be highly combustible if physically damaged. It's most likely not going to happen, but it has in a crash. The kids got hover boards a couple of years ago and they are still working well, just told us not to leave plugged in.

Confused now.
What is price difference between this and a DB11 AMR ?
Will there be a DBS SUPERLEGGERA AMR ?

I don't know why the lip spoiler is a separate piece instead of an integrated one like many other previous astons:/ Doesn't look so clean

Is it really a surprise? The last gen DBS was not much different on the inside than the 9, so the same situation with this DBS/11 pairing.

Is this the first Aston Martin without a rear wings badge?

So what is the aim of this car? It's basically a sporty DB11. But isn't that a DB11 AMR? I could understand if they had shorted the car and made it a two-seater with a different interior....a car that current new Vantage owners could eventually upgrade to.

As for the interior - I won't repeat what has already been said.

In fact why not just use that beautiful front end on a new Vantage V12 - I guarantee AM wouldn't be able to keep up supply - instantly creating one of the most appealing & accessible modern sports cars on the road today. That would have been truly awesome.

Seems its claimed to be lighter than the Vantage Evo tested, which is a great effort or the Vantage is just too heavy
