Customer Service: above and beyond the call of duty

Just to be clear.....
I have never criticised thier work....it is very good if you want that sort of thing...
The only thing I have ever commented on....is thier customer service....or lack off...and the novels that sometimes get posted....
But every time...you fan boys all jump in.....and really just fuel the fire....which those of you who do know me.....well....
So if you think an email is above and beyond...you must be easily pleased.....
Oh and by the way....I hate the amg engine in the new cars....;)

Just for balance, it's good customer service, very good as someone said others would see it as lost revenue. Don't think it's 'above and beyond' as that's a different thing, but very nice to know nonetheless to hear of a dealer offering free advice.

Well, you do seem to have an almost compulsive need to jump in on any thread about that firm and bring your own "anti" agenda to the fore. Combined with your unpleasant language and insults, it's not a pleasant read. And "fuel the fire" ? Your fire that burns so strong to what end? To remind everyone that once a firm for whatever reason didn't return a phone call? Is it that you wage a vendetta for that reason?

I'm not offended by your behaviour, I find it amusing in a certain way. Like the "pathetic sharks" from Viz...

There, I’ve done it. I’ve gone and pressed a reply button to Tonyhall38. The reason I normally don’t bother is that any argument is like shooting an oversize fish in a barrel and I would rather have a bit of sport. Besides, left to your own devices anyway you dig a pit so wide that it’s crammed full of your own narrow mindedness.

But, shotgun at the ready, crosshairs vaguely aimed in the direction of the oversized fish not worth roasting.
Considering your last reply accusing folk of stuff, check this. At the same time this dartboard making stuff in the pictures was going on at an indie who’s now dearly departed....

Any of the established Aston indie garages do a good job, simple and enough said, they wouldn’t be in business otherwise, and each will have their own specialty. The franchised network is obviously worried or why else would they race to the bottom with prices an indie would struggle to pay the rent on.

Of the main new era indie players in Scotland, Cheshire, the couple in Warwickshire, then a couple in and around London (I don’t think there’s anyone of any Worth that I’ve missed off that list?), i’ve interacted with them all reasonably well enough to know their businesses. To best of my knowledge none of us have a 100% dedicated receptionist, a)the business model will not allow unless it was a friendly family member being paid peanuts and b) eventually the customer needs to speak with someone technical so a receptionist mostly turns into a glorified answerphone anyway. So spreading oneself between a few different roles (whatever the industry) and it’s inevitable something will fall off the table if the business is inundated.

One lives and learns and one tries ones best. Might be Beaten on the phone, never beaten in the Workshop though! Clearly the answer is to turn ‘Heritage’, they seem be able to print money in a way the new era Garage guy couldn’t ever! And constructive help is always gladly received, nobody is perfect.

To my knowledge.....I have only ever phoned you once....when I preparing to buy my dbs....agreed you answered the phone.....that was it....I never engaged you to look at the car...

I have never asked you to service any car I’ve owned....god forbid...all my services since the DB9 have been at main dealers.....I would not know or care what you charge.

Also as I have already stated....I have never had a pop at you personally.....but like always you can only have digs at me personally.....a little insecure are we about what I actually know....

The original fan boys......won’t name them ....not many left are there.....wonder why....I’m sure you can enlighten everyone.....

Thanks for seeing fit to get involved with the right comment. His last comment to you is case in point - he’s totally dug himself into a pit (interaction with Soothsayer) yet has a swipe which isn’t banter in retreat.

You’d probably have realised that I’d demonstrably drawn that line in the sand many years ago by never rising to remarks made across several years by me posting absolutely nada in retort to Hall - I could have done many times over.
But and as I’m sure you will agree, there comes a point when such attacks can’t be left unchecked and yesterday was that day. And yes you are right, the end of his type of contributions is long overdue. True banter is fine and we can all have a difference of opinion, but how Soothsayer was attacked for no reason on page 1 of this thread is a pretty rubbish display of public interaction with another human (fortunately Soothsayer quoted what Hall posted and then deleted) which serves only to stop folk interacting furter on this forum which is a shame.

If any forum member has feedback on any Aston supplier / product / service that should be celebrated on this forum, and normally it is and rightly so, apart from when one particular company is celebrated there is always one person who always attacks - page 1 of this thread is a good example.

I’m tied with one hand behind my back on this forum, whilst my own thread is a soap box, on this main forum area I can’t drive sales or prices and Hall who flogs his nobs on this forum should know that more than anyone. But what he does is post with antagonism and insinuation knowing I can’t post in a way to defend without risking my log-on (which is what happened to James Appleby who Hall favoured after being turned away from BR - now the years of rubbish all starts to make sense if you think about it). And Yes, should any matter cross a line, indeed, there comes a time when it should be dealt with via private correspondence - there are two sides to every story, Halls is mostly Dunning-Kruger and he hasn’t the intellect to realise if it’s better form for a matter to be dealt with privately.

Thanks - I’ll bookmark your last post and see if he keeps his word in his last post, and as far as Hall is concerned, I’ll go back to what I have been for the last few years - silent!

The world is big enough to have a selection of dealers and indies out there. I am lucky enough to have met great people at them both and comfortable sipping lattes with a chocolate or getting my head under the ramp talking technical stuff.

I never expected the original post to gain so much 'attention', but that is the world we live in today.

Like many on here, I don't know or care what the issue is or was, however if you want to have a dig at each-other then please at least have the courtesy to do it in private, nobody else gives a toss. It's obviously a private matter between you two so please keep it that way. Most come on this forum to catch up on Aston news and to help out (or ask for help), not to see this rubbish.
