For anyone interested in shaving a significant chunk off the standard '£600 per axle' prices, part numbers and suppliers I've found below;

Front
Brembo OEM discs, 09.8780.21 - price per pair (yes, per pair) £154.42 - motordoctor.co.uk
Pads - Textar 2021703 - (full set of pads including slot for wear sensors) £100.90 - mister-auto.co.uk

TOTAL Front Axle price £255.32

Rear
Brembo OEM discs - 09.8781.21 - price per pair (yes, per pair) £154.42 - motordoctor.co.uk (same price as fronts)
Pads - Textar 2016501 - (full set of pads including slot for wear sensors) £113.90 - mister-auto.co.uk

TOTAL Rear Axle price - £268.32

TOTAL PRICE for full set discs and pads £523.64 (including VAT and shipping in the UK)

A lot of these parts are interchangeable with certain DB9's too.

Hope this helps someone

Great, thanks, will note those down for future

Ive had £500 an axle pricing for PADs alone from dealers, then done them myself for £150.

Motor doctor have some poor reviews online. Looks like they’re based in Germany but are pretending to be a UK supplier.

Many thanks, that's useful to know - they aren't alone in having those prices for discs, so I'll update when I have a moment.

I don’t want to sound like the merchant of doom but Autodoc are also based in Germany, also have terrible reviews online, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they and motordoctor are the same company.

You get what you pay for I guess smile

The real test for these cheap parts sourced from possibly disreputable suppliers is in 6 ,12 months time when they

have warped already ,or not.

@Ant.
I bought discs from autodoc, and they arrived within the time they quoted, (7 days)

I also bought Textar pads which to me, seem far superior to whatever pads have been fitted previously. (I don't know what was fitted previously, but the textar pads seem very high grip and very low dust.

@Pericoloso
You mention warping here for some reason. If you read this thread, you will note that these are Brembo discs, exactly the same discs as your Aston Martin dealer will purchase, (literally identical) but without the 100% markup. Like every other car manufacturer, Aston Martin don't make brake discs - a little research will show you the part numbers involved, and then you can buy direct, cutting out the middlman, or middlemen. So, to clarify, they aren't 'cheap parts' and autodoc appear to be perfectly reputable.

I have also sourced parts from Autodoc without issue. Delivery takes nearer a week from Germany rather than a couple of days but prices for OEM parts was around 50% of Main Dealer.

Might give Autodoc a go then. My rear discs need replacing before the end of the year.

I take back what I said about Autodoc. Ordered new rear discs on Sat night, they arrived today, genuine Brembos, all for £159 posted. Bargain.

Top work, thank you!

Do you know the OEM part numbers for the windscreen wipers or even a decent site to find the OEM pet numbers for other parts?

This is really useful information.

How about this becoming an 'alternative parts or supplier' topic, as a sticky?

Autodoc are an excellent supplier and I use them regularly for non urgent parts over a number of marques.

The very first order is a bit of a pain as they require a few security facts before they initiate sending stuff internationally but once that is proven, they are fast and efficient.

After my initial reservations (see above) I did order a set of rear discs from Autodoc. Arrived after a week or so but they’re genuine Brembo and cost under £145 for the pair. Total bargain.

Glad to hear that the information is proving useful to people

I have recently ordered a full set of discs and pads, and I may have found a very inexpensive replacement for the front pads. I will report back when they are successfully fitted and I've had a chance to do some stopping.

+1 for a sticky on better value components for those of us that still remember where we keep our spanners wink

I just changed the pads on both axles of my Rapide using Porterfield R4S pads, saving many hundreds and hopefully much dust!

Took a while to nail down the actual correct pad for the front Brembo calipers but at $300 for the front set it was even worth popping over to get them smile

AP1990 for fronts - DEFINITELY.
