Tested a mk1 vanquish today, gearbox Question

I never use asm on mine. The whole point of the car for me is the engaging drive. Once mastered its great to use (I have though upgraded everything - s clutch, mag sensors etc during my ownership). A fantastic car as far as I'm concerned

You are not being helpful here. Prospective buyers may believe you and therefore reject a car because it isn't "silky smooth". 99% of owners say otherwise...never use auto mode. And then the trans is more than satisfactory.

Steve sorry that you dont think I'm being helpfull, however I am just reporting my experience of my car. Adrian at Bamford Rose told me that it was the smoothest Vanquish that he'd driven (so I'm lucky then). I've only ever driven my Vanquish.
I'm on the AMOC forum as Duncan_wd where I know you also input usefull information Steve so I'm sure you know that I'm not inexperienced with the Vanquish, nor would I ever try to dent it's reputation.

Happened to watch a video of a Vanquish in ASM mode - gears changed around 2300rpm while driven slowly, so something amiss with the one the OP drove
