A fabulous project Mr. D., and your efforts certainly result in a stunning Vantage.

Many wonderful details.
So welcome to again see the original sills, which do emphasise the width of the rear arches.
I think your wide bodywork, has helped restore the original smooth curve of the pre-2012.25 tailgate 'spoiler'.
Have you ditched the radio, or is it concealed somewhere?
Is the development V600 which you mention, a fifteenth car? What do AML do with their unsold development cars? I had heard that destruction allows some kind of tax deduction. Might be a myth.

Congratulations Mr WDT!! Love the centre console. it is a thing of beauty and cannot wait to see it in real life. Didn’t think it was your car when I saw it at Le Mans. Definitely not your colour!!!!!!! Well done.

Mr D, fabulous story!!

Is your car the same Matt grey as press release?

Did it ever occur to you a slight power hike would make the car just that little bit more special? I was told initially they could achieve 610 bhp without too much being fettled. Why did AM decide to stick with 592 bhp in the end?

The quality of the gear knob is a nothing like what I was presented.

Is AM going to amend it or this is it? I'd be a little disappointed if they didn't.
If you want "POWER" take the 5935 v12, remove all rotating and reciprocating parts, bore it out, fit new Crank and conrods, pistons, valvetrain, induction and exhaust and go for a 700bhp 7.2 V12.

All yours for a reasonable sum courtesy of Bamford Rose. Mike still probably has the outlines he and I created for a project that has not yet got off the ground. But it'll happen one day!

Point is - aftermarket can do that, but AML have to be careful around type certification and homologation.

I just think wtdoom is living my dream of having a car built for him - top work Sir!

I have massive respect for what you have done with this project, Herr Doom! The pure yet threatening look of this car is fantastic and the best machination of the original design yet, thoroughly suits the dreadnought moniker. With a GTO for company, it`s the stuff of dreams. I hope to see a V600 in the wild some time.

It's a fabulous project & just demonstrates what can be achieved when owners & the manufacturer collaborate.
I was walking past the AM Hospitality at Le Mans early Thursday morning & almost dropped my bacon banjo!!

The picture at Le Mans popped up on my feed this morning and now I’ve found this thread. What a wonderful and enviable position to be in.

Kudos for keeping the original sills, too. They really help give the car the clean lines it deserves. Particularly with those insane rear arches. Utter filth.

Does look great and great project and involvement and did see it two or three times to right of entrance of the 3 storey hospitality suite on way into circuit.

Doesn't grab me like a GTO though, maybe it's that colour.

Huge respect and admiration for this project. To see all these V600s in one place would be a special moment. Maybe not all will be driven with the enthusiasm and regularity of Our Man Doom. Enjoy it and look forward to the full suite of pics
