Thank you gentlemen for your complimentary remarks. For those of you that like me live and thrive in Aston Martin Geekland,,, if you open and expand the pic of the gorgeous rear end of Lady Moss, you will observe embedded in the aero blade a bronze foil which displays the VIN number of the # 4 car driven by Stirling Moss at the 1959 Le Mans race.

Talk about Aston Martins being mileage critical.
If the DBSS 59 Editions do all have the same specification, then the adverts appear to indicate an extreme mileage dependence. -
£350,000 = 115 miles.
£299,850 = 1,196 miles.

In a word 'surreal'. This pic at the Hotel de France, home from 1953 of the Le Mans David Brown Aston Martin Racing Team and remained so for the rest of their racing years. Yes that is Andy Palmer and Simon Lane, obscured is Simon Sproule the Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Aston Martin since 2014. Marek Reichman arrived later. They were all there,,,,, I'm not sure 'surreal' covers it really.'
This is DBR1/5, the last of the 5 cars produced. A privateer car build by Motor Works with parts from the factory for Graham and Peter Whitehead. It did compete at the 1959 Le Mans race but a crash rendered it unable to continue.
Love the DBSS cars guys, disappointed I missed them on track last year. This is DBR1/5, the last of the 5 cars produced. Do like a run down the D304 and back to the base of Aston and then Gulf GT40s and Gulf 917s. Has one of the great straights stretching to the horizon.
Good quality video of 1959 with modern commentary ( No 7 (900 BH) shown from about 2.10):
