I think you’re confusing DBS59 owners with Valkyrie owners - they’re the ones that will need a hoist to get them in hehe

The screech and squeal of the brakes of 24 DBSs will be deafening

The first DBS 59 components have arrived from Aston Martin. See below image of the period helmet, goggles and gloves. Two sets of these items, along with period race suits will be in each car. Note the helmets are finished in Aston Martin Racing Green, complete with the '59' logo. The first 4 x cars will go into build at the end of February and four cars will then be built each week with production expected to complete by early May. Photos of a completed car will follow as soon as we have studio shots available:-

Do you measure each customer for the correct helmet and glove sizing when they place the order?

That paint colour is just stunning. Are you still camped next door for the time being Simon?

Will the owners actually wear said items. Can’t imagine anyone driving wearing helmet gloves goggles and overalls.

We offered this service with the Red Arrows cars and the interest from the buyers was so low we had to work very hard (multiple nagging e-mails and calls - to the point we felt like we were being a pain) to get all the measurements (15 measurements for each suit plus helmet size) that I decided this time we would order them all to the same size. The inner of the helmet can be swapped out and we can order bespoke suits/gloves for any owner that wants to wear them.

Probably not, but they are a great talking point in the car and a lovely nod to the original kit worn in '59

On track days the helmets, overalls and maybe gloves will add greatly to the experience,,, the goggles are to be hung around the drivers neck for posing by the car photo shoots. wink

Don`t forget the compulsory black grease rubbed around the face/goggles for that retro open racer look!

Getting measured up when buying a car should be a fun part of the buying process, shame really, thanks for the post.

And here, because it is so totally, absolutely and unequivocally the epitome of Aston Martin racing heritage, DBR1/4 RB6.300/4 (2nd Le Mans 1959)

I took a good look at one yesterday at the Cambridge showroom. It's a fabulous spec.
