If you have not received ASTON 20 - late 2018 - please PM me and I will investigate. The annual is 'something'.
PM sent.

It will probably be in your Junk Folder.

Thanks.

One does wonder where 7000 x £100 (fag packet mathsbiggrin) does go to pa. The local areas are all managed by unpaid volunteers after all. I also found it quite lazy the way they piggy back others' events rather than organise them themselves (extra cost concours excepted). The fabulous Burleigh 'record attendance' event certainly hasn't happened again as the kind volunteer bought a bloody Land Rover after the last one wink But Ed proved the interest was there in spades...

Horses/courses as I say - I have zero interest in AMOC other than to hope it might one day offer a true enthusiast something of value and interest. I know our local area 'nipper' rep tried to refresh it here once, and I did go, but it still felt like going out with your parents wink
Hope alls good your end Dewi.

"He bought a Land Rover".........biggrin, how bloody inconsiderate of the bloke,he's got to be some sort of tosser...........biglaugh

I could go off on a AMOC rant here about AMOC and how they treated me in regard to Burghley but hey life's to short and I'm a nice guy.

I could write a book on it,now there's an idea...... but seriously there are so many really nice people within the club many of whom I've had the pleasure to meet or connect with whilst organising Burghley, something which I really enjoyed and appreciated but like most things it can be spoiled my a very small minority.

I'm just pleased a certain person spat the dummy and buggered off out of it,couldn't have happened to a nicer guy..........tumbleweedI'm saying no more.

By the way Dewi its spelt Burghley .........bloody Welsh......rolleyes

Never say never thats my motto and live and let live.....AMOC is just far to complicated for a simpleton like me,a bit too Game of Thrones but now without Tyrion Lannister.

NB, Dewi
I revisited the Burghley project for 2018 but after the success of 2016 the green eyed monster raised its head and Burghley moved the goal posts " charity event or not" and quoted a massively increased rate and also cut the space and car number allowance down by almost half.........frown which made it a non runner unfortunately beings basically I fund it remembering all funds raised are to good causes.

Hi Ed

Wouldn’t it be fantastic if you could find another venue that would allow another such, brilliant, meet?
We enjoyed it so much as I am sure everyone else did.

I’m sure that you’ve got nothing else to do.

That's very easy and these guys have plenty of park 'n' polish events.

Ed is a legend .
The Burghley event was a master stroke and the most enjoyable AM event I have attended.
Behind the complex negotiations that Ed took on to organise the event was the simple premise.
An affordable AM meeting where AM owners could meet up in pleasant surroundings and admire a wide range of Astons.

Yes come on Ed - we need a burly bloke for more Burghlee (ridiculous spelling language wink) fun - and that flypast the first time!

You must surely be down for a DBX and fed up of polishing that Land Rover! You gave me this photo op a few months into ownership cloud9eek :

Happy to do a recce for you this end - far better rates and deals i'm sure wink Cardiff castle could handle 300 cars and I know the king quite well - in fact I call him 'dad'...

At your service you top man!!!

Ed, we miss you.

Buy another bloody Aston even if you must keep your JLR projects (writing this sat in the lobby of JLR Classic Works in Ryton, what a place!)

Or don't buy another Aston but organise us another event where we can give loads of money away

This was the only Aston event I've ever attended as I have no interest in 'concours' - I endorse every word above, a brilliantly organised event and a wonderful day for an Aston owner to be part of. Thanks again Ed.

This forum is great for tips and exchange of views etc. but if events are wanted that are not AMOC organised, I say again, perhaps there is room for a second Aston club. A club which is focused on meeting like minded people who want to talk about their experiences with the cars , help each other out and compare cars and notes without the attendant politics, financial headaches and social judgements with longer established organisations.
I’d be tempted to try something myself but with my advancing years doubt I have the energy.

LOL! Raffle wins Tony?!

Apologies as its clearly off topic but what a fab weekend it was and £50k for charity - even if that element was a bit crass for 'some' tastes.... This is however exactly what we want!!!

The 'souvenir' video shows the sunny variety smilehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESpDzCvhRP0&t=...

No pressure mind Ed coolbiggrin
