New Vantage: 12v socket
Discussion
Well, it seems that, unless I’m being super blind, someone thought it was a good idea to not include a 12v socket in the boot, or for the cubby hole one to be a permanent live. I want to connect a battery conditioner, but not overly happy about using crocodile clamps under the bonnet with the bonnet shut in case it shorts.
Any ideas?
Any ideas?
Hi HDPete
I seem to remember from my test drive that the battery conditioner attaches via an external magnetised connection at the rear of the car below the number plate? Not internally via a 12V socket as we are all used to with the previous version. I don’t know for sure but I would assume the old style battery conditioners are therefore not compatible with the new Vantage? Not sure if that really helps you very much though. Sorry.
Best Regards

Thanks to the insight here, I've found the magnetic clip with the CTEK adapter at the other end from the same ebay seller.
