How important to you is the number of previous owners? I’ve found several 2007-09 V8V’s with under 20,000 miles but with up to 5 owners.
Apologies if asked before but I have not been able to find out how to search only the AM forum.

Wouldnt worry about 5 owners on a car 10 years old or so. On a 3 yr old one maybe ask why. Sometimes the first short term owner can be a dealer if its ex demo.

Take a look in detail at some other luxury car brands and you can find them with more owners than years...seems like some people buy em on PCP , run it for a year, trade it in before the big expensive service is due.....

I have recently purchased a 2007 V8 Vantage with 26k and 4 previous owners. Most important things to me were condition and history. If previous owners can be seen to have looked after it, then go for it!
Cheers, David

For the first couple of years quite a few Vantages changed owners due to the waiting lists etc and to be fair more owners of sports cars tend to keep them for a year before moving to something else.

It’s also worth trying to find out about previous owners, I have known the owners of my car since new but it still had 3 registered keepers in the first year (Dealer for a day to tax it as owner wanted the car but had not got an insurance cover note, first owner, first owners management agent).

I'd say it's fine. Ferraris, for example, tend to be a bit promiscuous and get through a fair few keepers early on in life. As they get older they get better at sticking with one person for a bit longer. Most main dealers will have regular customers who change every 6 months. Have a look round the classified and you'll see plenty for sale with just a few k miles on them (not just ex-demo).

Just make sure one previous keep wasn't one of those super/sports car clubs.

Think of it like a girlfriend
Judge first of all on body work and maintenance , then when you find out the number who have been in the driving seat might start to worry you, at the end of the day it up to you and if the nagging doubt is there it will always be there , always remember you can always trade up to a newer model but the cost is generally high but worth it !
The car is a similar thing smile))))))

Exactly right. And if either has ever been used as part of a 'club' where for a fee multiple owners can have a shared interest and use of said 'car' then just make sure it has a thorough inspection first.

Having consulted my wife, she suggests to always check for filler, saggy springs and bottom-end rattle.

It's not clear what she's talking about but I thought I'd share anyway.

You also need to look out for bodywork that has been added.
Sometimes it is tastefully done but often very large.
Once the novelty wears off you will get fed up with it especially if it looks and feels plasticky.

I'm the 6th owner of my 2006 V8V, as other have said it seems to be in the first few years that they go through multiple owners, i've now owned mine for nearly 2 years and the guy before me had it for around 3 years before trading up to a 4.7.

The girlfriend on the other hand is something like 3 former keepers and fairly low mileage, and both items came with a full service history and just a few minor faults.

Aftermarket airbags are often sought after, sometimes excess noise can drone on and just check they are wired correctly alas this problem often surfaces after you decide they are a keeper! Just check for respect as well as often collar and cuffs don’t match
It’s turning into a Harry Enfield sketch

Yeh but its nothing to worry about, they all do that, and later models can be even worse.

Aftermarket airbags, are just like suspension, they have a shelf life of about ten years or again how its driven and treated.
But you do have to look at the service history and the standard of the last few owners,It may have been mistreated.

... which for a short-term relationship can be exactly what you need! Just don't invest too heavily.
