Ive got a 2009 V8V convertible.

Ive noticed that when going round tight bends, or when accelerating heavily i get a "check engine coolant" light.

It is only on for the duration of the bend / hard accelerating. As soon as the car levels out it stops.

My initial thoughts where that the reservoir that holds the coolant allows the coolant to slosh around and when going round tight bends, or when accelerating heavily it sloshes and gives a false reading on the sensor

Is this something anyones come across before?

I replaced 2 faulty coolant sensors over a 9 year period, about £20 each and 10 min easy DIY job.

Just check your coolant when cold and see if its up to the fill level, if so, its the sensor playing up.

Not on my Vantage, but on other cars, with those exact symptoms.
Your coolant may need a little bit topping up.
There is typically a simple level sensor in the coolant reservoir,
and when the level is on the lower end, centrifugal forces move the coolant away from the sensor.

Coolant sensor a known weak spot and cheap to replace as mentioned.

If the coolant level looks good the sensor probably worth replacing anyway for peace of minds sake!
